New Eternity Engine Logo

This is a special update to announce the official adoption of a new logo for the Eternity Engine!
This logo was designed by our departed friend Jason "Assmaster" Masihdas a few months before
he died. It can now be seen on the Eternity Wiki,
and it will soon also be featured here after an impending complete redesign of the Team Eternity
site.
In Eternity news, work is steadily progressing on v3.37.00. Features will include dynamic
weapons, pickup effects, inventory, player classes, linked portals, and maybe some other
surprises! The next release will be dedicated to Assmaster's memory.
In old news, v3.33.50 has been available since last October, but I forgot to ever put any

Eternity Engine v3.31 Delta Pre-Release Alpha 2

The second pre-release alpha of EE v3.31 'Delta' is now available for testing. Please try
it out and let us know ASAP if there are any problems. If no bugs are found within a couple
of days, v3.31 'Delta' will have its final release (at last! ^_^), including the MS-DOS
version, Small compiler distribution, and source code.

Eternity Engine v3.31 Delta Delayed

The final launch for v3.31 of the Eternity Engine, which was anticipated
to be released several days ago, has been delayed by a bug which was found
in the 3DMidTex monster clipping code. We don't know when the release will
happen, since scheduling constraints are stopping us from even working on it.
We need more beta testers. Response from the community has been extremely
poor. If you want to help us out, please download the following files:

New Frontend Version Released

Version 1.1 of the official Eternity Win32 frontend is now available.
It adds the ability to configure and change between 5 different IWAD
paths. You can access this new feature from the main menu bar, or by
right clicking on the first tab pane. Go to the frontend page to grab
the new version.

EE v3.31 Public Beta 6

A new Leap Year beta of the Eternity Engine is now available. It includes the
new portal editing features, as well as many EDF enhancements, bug fixes, and
other new editing features. All the documentation has also been updated, so

Announcing a New Project!

Team Eternity is proud to announce its re-entry into the world of DOOM mod
editing with the new project, Chex Quest III: The Flem Wars. A new preview
website is set up right here. This project is well underway, with about 90%
of the EDF/BEX work finished, and almost all of the sprites and textures
ready for use. It will make extensive use of bleeding-edge Eternity Engine
features, some of which have been added because the project needed them.
The CQIII site will be updated frequently, so check back often!

Beta 5 Patch Available

You can get a patch to fix some problems in EE v3.31 beta 5. This
zip includes 3 EDF files, which you should use to overwrite the ones
that come with Eternity.

New Site Design

I've completely redesigned the website, since I felt it was way out of touch with
Team Eternity's current activities and goals, as well as my personal ones. I think this
new design is much more professional, and it should be able to easily continue growth as
a valuable resource to the DOOM community.
