  2. BioTech (version 2)

You are a bounty hunter, hired by a small genetics research company named BioTech, to "fix" their current project which has gone horribly wrong.

BioTech is a Partial Conversion for Doom II with new monsters, weapons, sounds, music, graphics, and a strong story line. The theme for the 9 levels is mostly high-tech, so you won't find any of the typical Doom2 Satanic/Hell themes here.

  3. Cult of the Apocalypse (version 1 'b')

The year is 2053. In the early 21st century, several terrorist factions became nuclear powers. In a play for world power, these factions set off a nuclear chain reaction between nations that resulted In a complete and utter destruction of society and life as we know it today. Mutations, chaos, and terror reigned for years. As people pulled together to form new ruling bodies, they became aware of a group of powerful mutants gathering in a mountain construct and pillaging nearby enclaves. You have been trained and equipped to enter the mutant's area and destroy it.

  4. Chainsaw Man (version 2)

A modified version of "The Lost Mines" by Mark Anthony Klem full of chainsaw-weilding maniacs and other denizens of hell. Anyone who knows the original map will be suprised by the new ending in this version ...there's something not quite right with this Cyberdemon ;)

Some cool new sounds are included, and the Marine's face in the status bar is now wearing prescription lenses 8-)

  9. The Titan Anomaly

While exploring for new mines on Titan (someone fragged the old one - darn!) UAC discovered the remains of an alien base. A tight security lid was clamped on the find, referred to only vaguely as the Anomaly in reports. You've been assigned the job of breaking in and finding out whats going on.

A UAC research base and security garrison has grown up around the Anomaly, and you'll begin your visit in the Security Holding Area, where you'll be asked to show your papers. Too bad you don't have any. You'll need to explore the Vistor's Center (S), the Science Admin. Building (N), the Security Headquarters (E), and the Guard Barracks to gain the keys that'll allow you access to the Anomaly Research Area (W), where, if you're lucky, you may just find an exit back home.

  10. BDSDOOM

I wanted to provide several hours of GOOD level design for total immersion - and have it fit on one diskette. BDSDOOM is the result...

As usual in the BDS*.* levels, I've tried to give a lot of attention to detail in BDSDOOM. BDSDOOM is actually a five level game that replaces levels 3 through 7 of ID's DOOM2. The fact that you have downloaded these files shows that you (like myself) are ate up with this stuff, and I hope you enjoy playing them!!

I'll briefly describe each level, and tell you how to play them as a game, or individually. I've also included a demo of each of the 5 levels in case you want to check one out (recorded on medium difficulty).

    Some general advice:

    - These levels are for intermediate to advanced players - you need to have guts, and be able to think logically (and being able to jump well helps too!).

    - Save your game often, especially before going into a new area (even if it looks quiet!).

    - Some doors can only be opened by pistol, chaingun or shotgun fire...(and sometimes this affects remote doors...).

    - If you're playing deathmatch, try it with the "nomonsters" parameter (it makes things less "cluttered"). There are helpful items available in deathmatch that aren't available in single player mode.

    - USE YOUR MAP !! There are some helpful hints that can be had by looking at, and thinking about the map!

    - Don't Cheat !! Really - It's More Fun...

  14. Ancient

This is one of seven levels that I created a really longtime ago and never got around to adding more to. (5-6 years ago) I was originally intending to create a full 32 level megawad but run out of ideas after a while.

This is my personal favorite of the lot and thought I might as well release it .It`s my my personal favorite level (ancient) because of the ancient temple kindof look to it, plus the wolfenstein stuff that I put in a few places.

  16. The Altimac WAD (means absolutely nothing)

A just-for-fun level. It doesn't follow any story or pattern, just fun. It's moderate in size, and can be pretty challenging in Ultraviolence I think. This is my first WAD that I've uploaded, but I've made many before this one that I just haven't uploaded, so I've had some experience anyway. What else can I say, except try it and enjoy.

  17. Cradle of Filth

The worst demons of hell await you in this WAD. Completing this level requires one thing - you will have to meaner than they are. I really hope that you are a badass, 'cause if you aren't, they will eat you alive. As usual, the story is simple. In fact, it is so simple that it requires two words:

    G e t t h r o u g h.

That's it. If you need more motivation, imagine that the cyberdemon in the end actually is Bill Gates in disguise or something. He heh.

  18. The Blessed Hex

It was all over. You had singlehanded cleared earth of every scum-blood-dirt sucking alien bastard ever to hit the face of the univers. Or so you thought. As you had probably realised as you were fighting your way through halls, corri- dors and entire cities of hell and horror these alien reptiles had a rather advan- ced technology. And so years before we were ever going to invent time travel they had all ready done it. The few places you did not strike them they used their short time in making time travel experiments. And now they want your head on a stick for being too damn superior. Blasting three rockets into the superbrain almost took your last efforts, but still you had the strenght to drag yourself to a teleporter, adjust your wrist communica- tor to the exact coordinates of the UAC headquarters, or what was left of it, and beam home. Meanwhile those alien arschlocks were con- ducting experiments with their timemachine in order to trap you and beam you back in time to their planet. Right into a play- field of horror and death and humiliation. You would never stand a chance and they would all laugh and spit on you as you would fall to the ground dead! But their machine caught it wrong and send you outside the playfield and into the middle of their smelly bloodinfested world of hate. Here is the chance to prevent all the horror. Kill them now or earth will be for ever doomed. Continue your mission in this totally dif- ferent sequel. This time you move up into the open spaces and you must now not only locate the keys but also some telepoters which will throw you around a bit. There is only one serious trap but a lot of areas where you will most certainly be shot from: and you will eventual end there yourself as you battle your way through blood and mud.

  20. The aqueous rise and fall.

Ohh happy days, when you destroyed the gate- keeper and saved Earth once again. Another hellish monster saw its maker. You were once again the hero and received another bundle of medals. But. Some distant and very secret UAC areas had also been hit by the terrible army of monsters. Especially the processing area of the special water made to keep the gates cool and operative. This area has been taken over by the freaks from hellcity and needs to be cleared. Some squadrons sent in to retrieve the base has already been wasted and now UAC needs there best man: You. You will be teleported into one of four secret small elevators all disguised as a high metal and brik processing machine (according to earlier mission reports, the monsters has not yet figured out that it has no real function, which will be our advantage) situated high in the middle of the complex. You will some places encounter friends hanged, killed or integrated as a part of their flamestick hell alters, but let it not distract your sences. Good luck and may God have mercy on your soul.

Crap your pants (just a little) when you enter the level, run around trying to figure your way out of this mess, try to avoid having your head rammed up your ass, then limp the heck out of The Arena.

Simple but deadly level (dead simple? Hmmm, where have I heard that phrase before?). You'll either be marching out of there with monster cojones in your hands, or they'll be carrying you out in body bags. Bit by bit.

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
