This is a partially-complete version of Valanas. The possibility of ever finishing it just seems so remote that I figured I should just release what is finished. Anyway, please, play this on easy, at first, as it can be very difficult otherwise. If there's anything seriously broken about it say so in the review section. Thanks.

Just a series of six rooms with emphasis on intense battles rather than delicate architecture. You can play conservatively and hold them at the choke points, or if you are braver you can storm headlong into each festering pot of demons.

This wad is one level only and is a reasonably difficult level when played at skill level 4/5. Much time and thought has gone into this map.

Its best played at the skill level 4/5. NEVER assume anything and watch your back ! Use your senses and brain ! You WILL need to think to complete this map. (Unless you cheat).

Enjoy.... & PLEASE, PLEASE send your comments to me.

A demo is available from War Machine if you have any difficulties in completing. (Email 73360,334)

  10. The Court of the Crimson King (For Doom 2)

Guess who the Crimson King turns out to be ??

This level was originally intended as a single player level with a linear plot line. I then modified it to offer an interesting setting for Coop & DeathMatch players as well. (Lots of nooks and crannies, a chainsaw & other weapons, no dead-ends)

This is my first level, so I would welcome any comments or suggestions. (Be kind!)

  11. Ezam of Fear

You are in a scary maez. There are many walls. The music is scary. If you shoot your shotgun, your servants will hunt you down in seconds. The exit is in front of you, you search the maez for the key. Im sorry for not releasing a doom level for a long time because of problems in thailand with people with guns and I now have a new computer because my old computer broke down early in year and I had to save one and got a new computer for 2000 baht and has nice black speakers with a wicked subwoofer good for techno. But anyway I hope you enjoy this scary level its scary like that ghost forest wad made by some guy. I try my best to make shore that that are not many deadends so it will be easier to beat level for anyone impashient (hope I spell it right, my english not that good).

  13. DEATH IS JUST THE BEGINNING (v1.0)

This is a new episode for Ultimate Doom; it is my first serious release so don't be too critic!

Here is the description of the levels:

Level 1 - Life is Short you got only a pistol against hordes of monsters. Make your way in the invaded UAC outpost. ATTENTION you must die in this level in order to go in the second.

Level 2 - Sadic Hell this is a horrible place where humans are tortured by demons. Escape before it's too late!

Level 3 - The Basilica here the monsters venerate their immond idols. Kill the idols and save your soul.

Level 4 - The Installation it seems the creatures from hell have invaded an other UAC base: you must clear the area and gain access to the next level.

Level 5 - The Depot Putting it simple, kill everthing.

Level 6 - The Five Towers this is the place where the demons concentrate all their energy.

Level 7 - Cyberdemons Castle a complete castle where the cyberdemons lead their wicked lifes. You will not find only Cyberdemons but many other monsters: like guardians or food.

Level 8 - The Heretic Legacy You should find difficult to kill all the monsters in this level, so avoid most of them and go straight to the exit!!!

    Level 9 - Cacodemons Love Secrets it's a secret.

  14. fdc6.wad

This wad served as a "platform" for the sixth FDC (first-demo contest) (its essence is that the players simultaneously start to complete unfamiliar - and absolutley new as well - wad, and the winner is the player, who will be able to finish the level faster than the other players; thus, the total time of all attempts is considered.) Also, the summary table of contest`s results and demos of pair participants of contest are included in this archive.

  15. Demonic Libido

I've been mapping for quite awhile, mostly just messing around with doom builder, making small maps which I haven't decided to release. I was bored one day around seven months ago, and this map is the result of that boredom. This is the first map I've ever released, it's a straight-forward blowthrough, not too difficult and it offers around 15 to 20 minutes of gameplay...maybe less for skilled players. I'm looking for constructive criticism too, just a thought. Load it up, pick up the shotgun and have fun!

Runs fine in good old Doom2.exe for me, though I still play it in zDoom out of habit. The name doesn't mean anything, my buddy just thought it sounded funny.

There are small 11 maps. Episode 1 (Map 1-6) is "Uranus", and episode 2 (Map 7-11) is "Ares". I made this wad not recently but about 4 years ago, and I have already abandoned the project. Title pic is remaining "Ares"...

  17. Escape from Enemy Mountain

A 9-level single player episode for Doom 2, created back in 2004. You have been trapped inside the cells of a hellish mountain fortress and must escape back to civilisation. This is the first 9 levels of a canned Doom 2 megawad, which I decided to create as a mod for Doom 3 instead. The map design is completely different to the design of the forthcoming D3 mod, so don't worry about spoilers. Hope you enjoy the maps! Design is primarily hellish in nature, but featuring a variety of locations.

  18. Hell Caverns

    This is my first Doom2.

A brutal single player level with lots of hard fights including a large and dangerous underground lava cavern.

The level is supposed to be very challenging but absolutley not impossible so save often and i recommend trying to find all the secrets.

    Have fun.

  19. Data Center 1.0

The UAC's primary data center has been invaded by the monsters of hell in order to steal some intelligence and ultimately wipe out the human race. The center's population has been wiped out and you are the only hope of reclaiming the UAC's secrets from the demons. Find the source of the infestation before the monsters are able to use our secrets against us.

This is my first set of levels that I have actually completed. I swore to myself that I would make no new textures and make it strictly with Vanilla doom features only. As a result I was finally able to complete something on my own.

Well, this is my 10th effort at wad design. I tried to pay careful attention to detail on this one. It's much more fun to play a level if you are completely emmersed in it and feel like a part of the game environment. Let me know what you think...

*title note* I was tired of the same old level names and decided to pay tribute to one of my favorite artists...

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
