  1. DIABOLOS.WAD

DIABOLOS = Greek word for the devil. This level will test your awareness and of course, pit you to survive in many different and confusing 3 Dimensional environments. As you explore the complex of chambers and sewers, you'll find that areas are organized in an intelligent composition. when you see a bloodfall, you can track it to its source. Areas provide visual clues as to what's ahead and what's living there (eg)

DIABOLOS is intended to be very difficult and extremely challenging for even the finest of movers. Ammunition and health are sparring so make every dodge and weave count as if it were your last.

  5. DANTE'S GATE 2.5

DANTE'S GATE is the first level in my INFERNO series. The level has an entirely different look and feel. For the most part, the only "theme" I had in mind was to make the level as aesthetically pleasing and consistent as possible. But there is a storyline:

After all this wackiness at the UAC base, you have lost track of your lady-friend, BEATRICE. How the two of you ever got separated is no great mystery, what with all these demons and devils running about, but you're damned if you're going to go through Hell for nothing. The only other survivor besides yourself and Beatrice is VIRGIL, the beatnik space poet. He last saw Beatrice by one of the warp- gates. Chances are she made it through -- but what's on the other side?

Only one way to find out. You'll have to go through DANTE'S GATE.

  6. #FUBAR3.WAD

This WAD is for experts only. It's tough, but it has been done by people other than myself.

Originally it was all one level, but when I tried to play on a 486, the thing was SO SLOW as to be totally impossible to have fun. So I broke it into five levels, which unfortunately takes away from the continuity. You must start at level one and work your way through if you want to get the weapons and savage your way through as the levels were designed to be savaged through.

  8. DethLands

abnormally large level, it replaces map01. I think it's a pretty fuckin' hard level. My friend, Jeff Paulsen took 4 days to beat it completely, and he's one of the best DooM players in this county. I for one hate when people make up long, epic stories for their wads, so I won't go into anything like that.

This is my first and only doom level. It has taken over 4 months to realize, so you can expect it to be worth trying out! Being an art student, aethetics and attention to detail were important. (yes you too can produce refreshingly different levels, with the original DOOM 2 textures!)

  13. Die Young!

Primarily single player level. In co-op there are a few more monsters to kill. Traps everywhere. Lots of monsters on UV (you're not going to play this level on lower difficulty setting, are you ?). Reach the under- ground temple, kill them all, and make it back alive.

  14. Xtreme

a pretty large level. Exceptionally challenging for the single player. Hours of fun for DeathMatch. Due to its difficulty with monsters, this level would probably make a great cooperative game for those who like that sort of thing. LOTS of secret areas on this level, many of which don't map.

  15. Darklaw

a meticulously designed level with challenging, monster engagement. Made for those of us who don't have anyone to deathmatch with and can't afford long-d calls to Dwango servers. This WAD brings some of the fun back to single-player WADs. A lot of time was spent making sure textures match up, and that rooms looked genuine. I think you'll agree that this is not your run-of-the-mill WAD, where somebody placed 250 monsters in a big square room. IMHO, this is a visual experience.

  16. Ten Degrees of Eight

The entire level is a big room in the shape of a rectangle. There are ten rooms that are on the edge of the rectangle. Each room has a switch that opens a passageway to the next room - but it also open a door three rooms along that contains monsters. Each switch opens a door with increasingly more difficult monsters. The exit door is obviously in the final room - that when the fun starts.

These are my first published DOOM][ Levels. These levels have been designed for co-op playing. This means that single player is extremely difficult! I would suggest trying Hey I'm Too Young To Die if you want to play single player. These levels are based on the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons - Hall of the Fire Giant King (copyright TSR). There are three levels (maps 01-03) in all.

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
