  1. August04.wad

A level for Deathmatch only. hehe...the BFG is quite crushing! This is another level in the August-series and it's made for DEATHMATCH 1.

Note: * skill 1/2/3 All weapons available except the BFG * * skill 4/5 all weapons available INCLUDING the BFG! *

Hope it rocks on your network/modem; that's what it's made for!...

  2. August10.wad

A level for DEATHMATCH only! Lots o'mazes is the keyword for this level! Play it with DEATHMATCH 1.0 or DEATHMATCH 2.0 rules... that's up to you. All weapons are available on skill 3/4/5, no BFG on skill 1/2. It's quite dark and sinister so be careful and watch your back!

    Hope you enjoy August10.wad!

A level for Deathmatch only. This one's very tight so if you play it with more than 2 players your ass is history...! :) It's for DEATHMATCH 1 because of the level's size.

Note: * skill 1/2/3 All weapons available except the BFG * * skill 4/5 all weapons available INCLUDING the BFG! *

  4. August11.wad

A level for DEATHMATCH only! Based on the wood textures with a dim light most places. In this level you'll find it useful to jump...snipe... jump...snipe...they're alot of different highs in this level and the big weapons are placed so you must jump in some way to get them. First time I use this princip but it surely *rocks*! Pick skill 1/2/3 if you don't want the BFG. 2 players are ideal for a fast game. Anyway, it seems that there are *several* ways to get the weapons...especially you may find many "shortcuts" to get the *big* weapons. A little but complex level for serious DOOMers!

! There are 2 exits on the level and the secret one ! ! is just for purely fun in case you wonder... !

    Hope you enjoy August11.wad!

Another DEATHMATCH lv in the August-series...Just can't stop! *This one's a bit spicy; it contains monsters!* The lv is not crammed with 'em, i've just placed a few to make the game more interesting... so please play August09.wad with monsters ON and with the *respawn* option ON. The lv itself is quite small so even with 2 players, the action may get too hot sometimes...love it! August09.wad has support for both DEATHMATCH 1 and DEATHMATCH 2 and it's got ALL weapons available (the BFG is not reachable at skill 1/2/3 though).

A level for Deathmatch only. This level is for DEATHMATCH 2.0...please play it that way! It's bigger than my previous August wads, so DEATHMATCH 2 is best for this level... Play this level *strategilly* and it'll be a blast! Note: * skill 1/2/3 All weapons available except the BFG * * skill 4/5 all weapons available INCLUDING the BFG! *

Hope it rocks on your network/modem; that's what it's made for!...

  7. August08.wad

This level is a bit diff compared to the previous August levels: it's fully optimized for TEAM play! You can play it with the normal DEATHMATCH rules if you like, but it'll definetely work best with 2 vs 2= 4 players are therefore needed! As mentioned there are 2 Teams: A BLUE and a RED team. The green and the Indigo player are the BLUE team while the brown and the red player are the RED team. Got it? :) Now, each team has it's own "hood", call it whatever you like.... Every player always start in the "starting-room" in the beginning of each game and whenever a player dies... there's 4 teleports on the blue side of the "starting- room" which will take you to the blue "hood" and there's 4 teleports on the red side of the "starting-room" which surely will take you to the red "hood"... but you can easily cross into the other team's hood to get some cheap frags and steal the weapons and goodies. This is *NOT* DeathTag though if you got that idea. The rules are simple: Get as many frags as possible! If you unfortunately kill your own partner, the frag you got will not count...you must instead do a -1 frag to your score!

You'll have to cooperate intense with your partner to get goodies and weapons...you'll find out!

An important thing: play with DEATHMATCH 2.0 (Altdeath) otherwise the level's basic idea will not work!

    August08.wad features:

-DEATHMATCH 2.0 support -A BFG/Plasma/MSphere that need Co-op playing to be reached -A MArmor/Rocket, your partner must raise the platform via the switch beside the room with the SSphere so you can jump on the platform, *quickly* open the door to the MArmor (NB: To get out of the room you must lower the platform by pressing on it...stand on it again and wait till it lowers completely. Your partner must raise it again and you can then jump from it when the high is reached -BRIGHT level so you don't go shooting your partner because you couldn't recognize his colour...! -A Invulnsphere for each game in the starting room. Get your partner out of the room, let him switch on the switch that releases the Invulnsphere while you wait in the starting room. Who gets it? The red or the blue team?

NOTE: Don't forget that you can use "MACROS" in the game! Send a message to your partner only, NOT to the other team of course. Some useful words you may use: tell your partner you need help if you're surrounded by the other team or something...or if you want him/her to reveal the BFG by turning on that switch etc etc. If you don't know how to send macros to ONE person and NOT all the players, you better consult the DOOM manual...!

  8. Crucify Series (Beginning of the series)

It's very straight-forward and to the point in this level. I believe there is a good distribution of weapons. I've also included the BFG for all you "silent BFG" gurus out there. There is a strong possibility of a few telefrags in this level! You can also get blown out a few windows too if you don't watch out! I believe this level is great for 2 players, and 4 players should be a fragfest! The exit can be obtained by one person but you better haul ass, especially when you're playing a match because you'll be fragmeat real fast! The exit should be of mutual agreement anyway. By the way, you figure out how to get to the exit. (heh)

  13. THE BIGGER THIRTY-TWO

21 levels of fire-eating deathmatch. You won't get tired of this. By the way if you're one of those who plays the first 2 maps and says, "Eh..", start on 12 so you can see the really good ones. Many of these maps will look like other maps... Well, my excuse is that any good WAD builder needs inspiration. So I take the ideas out of popular WADs and tweak them a little, making them much better, and of course I make all my stuff from scratch remember.. Everything in this package was made by ME, Fuzz. Hope you like it, and I'll tell ya right now my favorite map is 20. Have fun and dont forget to try my patches... See ya on DWANGO...

  19. BACKHOME.WAD

DeathMatch: Finally after beating the hell out of the Spider Demon you enter the gateway that appeared in front of you. Emerging from the gateway on the other side you notice that it has brought you back to your home on Earth. Entering the front door you notice ammo on the floor. "What the hey?" you say out loud. It appears that the same elf that conveniently left weapons, ammunition, health and keys lying around in Hell and various bases on the moons of Mars has refurbished you house in the same manner. Suddenly out of the corner of your eye you see movement. You run outside hoping to see a fellow human once again.

It is human only you notice that it looks exactly like yourself. It appears that the gateway spilt you as you emerged from it. Only one thing to do, remove the competition.

Single player: The level is set between Doom I and II. Our favorite Space Marine arrives home to find it full of nasties. You must activate the self destruct mechanism on your home, and you thought it wouldn't come in handy, before moving on to save the earth.

Basically this is one large room with a number of columns, plus four lifts. There is a BFG gun in each corner, with ammo and on the center lift there is guns, ammo, armor, and a globe. When you start the game grab a BFG and max out on ammo and you are ready to frag. There will be BFG bolts flying all over the place, but because of all the columns it easy to run and protect yourself behind one. Or if you feel lucky ride a lift up and try to pick someone off as they run by. Also from on top of the lifts there are some items you can get, just make a good jump.

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
