  1. CUSTOMS2.WAD

This Doom II Deathmatch PWAD simulates a customs warehouse. It is a very small, -altdeath fragfest for 2-4 players. It's not for single players and has no monsters.

  3. 2 Player Deathmatch

This is ONE of the best 2-player deathmatch boards created for DOOM2. All the weapons except for the BFG 2001 are present, and there is armour and a health sphere (which is difficult to get, without actually get'en IT!!)

This board is fairly small, with windows, and triggers so you can hear and see your opponent. It is based on the TRAC technique for board creation Only the best deathmatchers will win, because a lot of co-ordination is required to negotiate little pillers and tight turns in closed areas.

This board is a MUST for the deathmatcher in YOU! Accept my challenge, play this board! If this board is not the best deathmatch wad you've ever played, I will give you your money back. And for no additional charge, I will send you a roll of toilet paper :)

  4. Around

This was my first attempt at a Death Match only wad. The overall design is basically a small central arena with interconnecting hallways surrounding it. It also features transparent walls, teleporters, including one in the center of the arena that has multiple landings, and all of the weapons. My main emphases was to make it fast paced and fun! Although some might find the weapons placement unbalancing, I believe, due to the levels small size, it is fairly even.

  5. Blood Pit V1.0 DEATHMATCH

This is the Deathmatch version of Blood Pit V1.0. The head is still there as the switch. Two rockets at it will set off all those explosins and end the game. It won't produce creatures though. Some stuff has been removed so it won't be so choppy. More weapons has been added in as well. Theres about 17 diffrent places to start.

  10. BLINDSIDE

of the Wad * Blindside is a compact, fast-paced, beautifully designed Deathmatch level with incredible new sounds and textures. It's been playtested on the Dwango server, and the frag-count just kept spinning higher and higher like the wheels on slot machine. It's insane. No sane person should own this wad.

  16. Cloverleaf - WAD for DOOM II

A Cloverleaf structure that has better stuff as you go along. A nice fighting arena as well. Designed for Deathmatch only, best for 3 to 4 players. Deathmatch2 (altdeath) is great for a total fragfest, lots of weapons and health. DM1 (Old Deathmatch) makes it bit easier to survive against a good opponent.

  17. Awesmdth.wad

Awesmdth.wad is a single level for map 01 of Doom2, and was designed with new deathmatch in mind. It's a small level consisting of an outdoor area surrounded by rooms, canals o' death, and ledges. It's a very basic setup, but it's deathmatch fun for the whole family. A guaranteed frag o' rama. It's got a layout that flows just at the right speed for deathmatch. However I included single play and co-op play at skill 4. Don't look behind that wall! The level supports 4 players for co-op and deathmatch, and skill levels function, to some extent. It has a co-op exit though. A must have for deathmatch enthusiasts. Just play it and e-mail me with any flames, suggestions, praises. It's only my second wad so be nice. Hope you like it. Download waldorf.wad also.

  18. Bartdke.wad

They haven't released Duke Nukem yet and we can only play two player over the modem so I decided to make this wad. It is as close as I could come to the first level of Duke Nukem with the doom2 engine. Those of you that Know what you can and can't do with doom will appreciate this wad. Down to every last detail.

  23. CASTLE RUINS

This level was made for 2 to 4 player deathmatch. Three to four players are ideal whereas two players may find it difficult for frequently running into each other.

I originally designed this level to allow as much freedom of movement for all players as possible. Through playing many wad files, I noticed that there are five important criteria for a good death match level, namely:

    i) Room to Move: wide openness needs to be there to allow better aiming skills to shine and freedom to runaway and be tracked. vertigo

ii) Height/Open-ness: to get a sense of unexpected fear from all directions and a sense of vertigo.

iii) Appropriate fighting area: a sufficient amount of room so that players will easily find each other when on the move, as well as allowing the ability to hide and watch the battle from the extreme sidlines.

iv) Must work for the Ammo/Health: players in order to maintain fighting superiority must also be skillful at replenishing their sustenance (in- cluding ammo)

    v) Innovation: new elements added to the level to enhance it gameplay, atmosphere and theme.

I have tried to incorporate these in my CASTLE RUINS wad. It is the only open-wide wad file that I have come across that has an entire open ledge around the whole level! Four castle towers allow quick teleportation between each tower to rapidly place oneself at the map's extremes in milliseconds; figuring out the tower's teleporation pattern shouldn't be difficult and may come in useful when being chased. Each building is completely open to attacks from all sides within this fortress.

The buildings within the castle walls are as follows (in a spiral clockwise direction): the Guard Station, the Plasma Temple, the Meat Market, the Storage Facility, the Horn Building, Restoration Chambers, the Imps Mud Dwelling, The Penitentiary, Dual Crush- ing Compactor, the Sacrificial Altar, Green Acid Annex, Inn-of-the-Six-Weapons, the Watch Tower, the Sewers, and the Arena.

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
