  2. Freon 2: The Revenge of Deathmatch Each level has it's own title really..

You might only like half, or less, of these levels. They vary so much and some are so wierd, you may hate them. A few really cool levels, made especially for deathmatch play (-altdeath recommended) Tried to have a wide variety of playing styles and levels supported. From my SUN level (fast action like level 7) to Castle (well, a modern castle) that supports team deathmatch. All (well, 90%) of deathmatch starts are placed in raised 'protected' areas, and some even have a 12 gauge for you to start with. It makes things alittle more fair.

  7. FESTER01.WAD

Great deathmatch. A breeze in single player mode. Several secret areas. All is not as it apprears. LMP shows 95% of the secrets... I even took some time at the end to show you some hidden doors. Don't view FESTER01.LMP if you want to find secrets! .BAT files: FESTER01.BAT loads the WAD at skill 4 and automatically bypasses "Modified" warning. FESTDEMO.BAT plays the LMP file, also bypassing "Modified" warning.

*** ALL POWERED-UP AND NOWHERE TO GO? *** Try DeathQuad! Right from the start you get weapons (sorry, no BFGs) and Armour.

Remember that you may have to wait for respawn to get your power-up after you get fragged (there's a Chainsaw and Berserk laying around, if you get impatient).

  13. Damien's DOOM [The Deathmatch Zone]

This level is my first try as a Deathmatch level. Damien wrote a map for me during the Math class, and the following Monday we first tried it in a 4-player network play. Now we are proud to bring you the final version, featuring:
South-East * The dark MAZE: dodge spectres, hide in the secret rooms and bring back the Rocket-Launcher.
North * A long CORRIDOR that you'll have to slalom in, if you want to reach the PlasmaGun.
North-West * The ARENA, with the WHEEL OF DEATH, where you'll have your filthiest frags, trust me!
East * The WAREHOUSE, also known as shotgun-land.
West * The CONTROL CENTRE: one of the switches raises the arena, bringing you surprised targets. If they take the teleport, use the one-way door.THEY CAN'T ESCAPE! Watch your backs, they can follow you.
West * The PIT: Visit the Hell Knight and grab the Chaingun. 'Careful, danger comes from everywhere.
South * The COURTYARD: use the 2nd switch near the C.C. to access the BFG9000, then hide behind trees! (Be careful not to Exit the level)

  14. FRAGHOUR

This wad is not my first attempt at creating a wad but is my first wad that I have released therefor i am not just any ol dude who figures that they can make a wad then it when it comes out like nobody likes it!.This wad is good in Deathmatch play for the fact that there are plenty of setups and also there are no orbs or bfgs present.

  15. ENS

This wad was designed from the ground up to resemble a real building. This building is located at some prestigious college somewhere in Ohio. The single player mode on this wad is very challenging, and not designed for the novice Doom II player. The deathmatch mode for this wad is sure to be a real bloodbath, not designed for the faint of heart.

Intense 2/3 player DeathMatch, lots of space to move in, not cramp for room. Skill needed to get the plasma gun (cause i think its too much of a kainer to be obtained easily :) Aligned textures, support for just about any kind of play, multiple heights/rooms. GET IT!

  19. Hit it! Shoot it! Saw it! FRAG IT!

Deathmatch level designed for 3-4 players, but some testplayers thought it was also playable with only 2 players. Is it good? Well, we sure had fun testing it! The first test game lasted quite a while (2 of the 4 players over 100 frags). Textures etc. are aligned (this level is not one of those that consists of 4 rooms glued together with random textures on the walls). Furthermore: You won't find a plasma or BFG in here, my friends and I prefer conventional weapons. :) The rest of the weapons are available as well as a soul sphere, an armor and some extra ammo and goodies. My recommendation is that this level be played at alt-death (respawning weapons) because the amount and placement of weapons comes out best in that mode. If you have any comment or find any bugs please send mail to the e-mail adress above. If you like it tell me! if you don't, also tell me, but be sure to mention what you don't like and why, so I can use the feedback in my later trials at wad-editing. Have a blast!

An AWESOME deathmatch level with all the essential elements. Great teleporter action, an awesome, DEEP arena, and good placement of weapons. You will enjoy this one once you know your way around. The file is small and runs well on slower connections/computers, even though there are big rooms.

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
