  4. Full of Lead (FULOLED.WAD)

This is a DEATHMATCH-ONLY pwad for DOOM ][. SIGH!!! ANOTHER ONE? Yes, but I think this one will be worth your download. First of all, it contains NO MEGASPHERES OR SUPERCHARGES! so the game does not turn into HealthWars. There is a strategically placed medkit and beserk pack, along with a few stimpacks. There are plenty of weapons to prevent anyone from gaurding them all. I've tried to make this level a very playable deathmatch design. All weapons are present, except the BFG. (I rarely like the BFG for deathmatch games, except when it is strategically placed (such as in DANZIG13.WAD). I've added a few features to this level which, in my opinion, sets it apart from most deathmatch levels currently available:

    1. Although the plasma gun is available, it rests on a platform that must be dropped by a remote switch, which also drops a lift elsewhere in the level that contains a beserk pack. This makes getting the plasma gun a risky venture. Also, there are no energy cells lying around, so you'd better make that ammo count.

    2. One of the metal pillars in the inside room has a walk-thru linedef on the west side. This allows players to enter the pillar and ambush their opponent, or hide from them when they get low on health.

    3. There are several sniper positions from which you can frag your buddy, and I've tried to make the level a very "open" one, so most of the time you have a pretty good idea of where your opponent is.

    4. There is a medium-sized semicircular courtyard for those plasma and rocket battles. A small bunker in the courtyard has a chaingun and a spy hole that is aimed towards the door of the courtyard.

    5. Stepping over the rocket-launcher platform in one of the courtyard buildings triggers several lifts throughout the sector to fall, which gives away your position to your enemy.

    6. This level contains a cooperative exit to prevent one player from exiting when the other isn't ready.

NOTE: Flight Technology included !!!!!!!! This is my second attempt in creating a Deathmatch wad. This wad is very small and was a quicky job, so don't worry, my next wad (foxer3.wad) will be much bigger. Enjoy, this wad will make you laugh (and cry) as you fall to your death...

Deathmatch wad for Doom2. This 1 wad includes 32 levels of deathmatch only! This is one of the best deathmatch wads out! All levels are exit-able, and some levels are co-op exits. This wad should be played with monsters on, since a few levels need monsters in them. Look for the other wads in the Dm2dth series.

  12. Death Spawn

This is my first deathmatch level for DOOM II. Lot's of Hiding Places, Secrets, Weapons, Health, etc., so enjoy blasting each other!

This PWAD was tested pretty well over the course of a weekend, with up to 4 players. Everything seemed to go fine.

Again....this PWAD is for DeathMatch. I did put starts in it for up to 4 players, but only to look around (since there aren't any enemies yet...maybe I'll add some later)

  13. FUN3.WAD

It is a WAD which contains much switches & doors, so I put the Computer Map in the room next to the starting point. Also when in Multiplayer Mode, when you don't have the Computer Map, take a look at the map - it could be useful to find the exit from the unit/room. I have placed a hidden lift continued by a teleporter somewhere, so look at the map if you pushed a switch and you didn't found the door/lift it has opened/lowered. There are 5 doors that are no doors - the walls just look like doors. The hidden doors are all marked with an another texture as the walls around. If you walk upstairs, just watch your back - there could be some monsters or teleporters or doors ... I think you won't need more explanations to play.

  17. Foxer.wad

This is my very first attempt to create a Deathmatch wad. I borrowed some ideas off of a few popular DM wads and also brainstormed myself. When the wad was in preliminary stage, I released a *beta* of my wad called Foxer16.wad on my BBS for my users to test play. I had no idea is was going to be this good!!! Finally, this release of Foxer.wad is the final version. IMHO it is 10x better than what it was in beta form!! PLAY IT LOUD on The Playing Fields BBS!!

  18. FUN1.WAD

FUN1.WAD is a simple, symmetrical level for DOOM ][, map 01. I have written it to experience some specials, such as hidden walls. I needed about 3-4 days of work, some coffee & about 30 cigarettes to write it.

At the beginning, you have to find the BLUE KEY & the YELLOW KEY. These open the doors to the hi-tech weapons (You'll only have the 2 shotguns & the chaingun at this time). You'll find the RED KEY at the east end of the map. You'll need it to enter the exit zone. It's a level with much teleporters (not TOO many, you don't NEED to use all of them) and many switches, also hidden ones. I think the teleporters are helpful if your DeathMatch opponent(s) is/are behind you, so I defined about 17 in this level. Some switches open hidden doors that free monsters, but you'll have to push them in order to find the one you need. You'll find the Computer Map somewhere. Just take a look at it before you exit - there are some secret rooms. I think you don't need more hints...

  19. FUN2.WAD

It contains nothing special, but I wrote it to test if a level where you must return to the room you started from is a good DeathMatch level or not. I think it should be. Maybe there are not enough DM starting points (however, the minimum of 4 is contained).

I played with the floor texture in the starting room, so you'll find the order you should enter the doors on the floor. There are secret rooms and 2 computer maps, so don't exit too quickly.

This file contains pwads for DOOM I and DOOM II. Some have appeared under different names (by me) in the past, so don't be surprised if 1 or 2 look familiar. I decided to upload this as 1 file for convenience sake, and to make these wads more accessible.

  21. Death's Door ][

This great DEATHMATCH level is some small rooms seperated by some doors. There are nooks in the side for weapons and hiding spots. There is a cool room that is all red and there is an AWESOME surprise in there. Only 1 mon- ster, so you can set to respawn. All weps except BFG and doom1 shotgun.

Enigma.wad is a deathmatch level and has been designed for use with deathmatch 2.0. This has been made for Enigma BBS and is another fantastic deathmatch level. There are no secret rooms or doors so just blast away! An exit, clearly marked and easily accessed is included.

  25. The Temple of Bal

Wad file is designed for multi-player deathmatch. Naturally it has no monsters, and plenty of ammo and health. The setting is a (fantastically decorated) temple, where evil priests conduct secret rituals, raising hideous monsters. The teleport at the entrance is the only means of gaining entry to it. There are'nt any tricks etc, but WAD designers may wish to have a look how things were done...:) The exit is found outside on the platform, which is reached by activating the switch in the altar room. This means co-operation is needed to finish the level Ideally for 4 players, but is great for less. This was made for the doomII server on Flashpoint BBS

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
