  5. The Dark Tower

Well, um, I think the title sums it up right? ;) Seriously, the level is fairly simple (like most of my levels) consisting of an outside playing field and a central tower with no interior lighting that contains the more powerful weapons. The most powerful weapon (depending on the skill level) is positioned on one high end of the arena, which is reachable by a risky teleport on the opposite side of the arena.

  6. DooMNukeM

Mirrors the first level from DukENukeM3D. Looks even better than the original. There are many places with hidden elevators, so push and shoot places where in DukENukeM3D you can usualy break or jump up on to. There are lots of funny things you can do to yourself or the monsters in this level so mess around with that. You can also break the glass wherever there is any.

  7. DMATCH02

This is v1.0 of an awsome deathmatch level for DOOM ][, it doesn't have a name yet so it's sorta going by the wad name, DMATCH02. Good for 2 players, might be a little tight with more. I'll do a proper text file when I get a name for it.

  13. DoomBall ][

"When played using the included .deh file it becomes an entirely new Doom experience."

Run the Install batch file included with this file!!!

"DoomBall is played like soccer only your opponent may kill you to keep you from scoring."

A new "feature" I have added to DoomBall are fatalities. After you have scored 5 goals and the scoreboard closes up, push the switch again and you will see a door open on one side of you. Open the door, put the losing player in the room, push the switch again, then push it once more and your opponent will experience a lovely death.

To begin playing DOOMBALL ][, pick a player (prior to the game) to push the switch that is in the field to reveal the ball and begin play.(See below)

As a promotional gimmick for Savage: ND, I have included a brand new DEATHMATCH wad with DOOMBALL ][ Note that this level is not included with Savage, but the Savage levels are of the same theme and just as intense!

  18. Escape Zero

Another of my really early levels. Infact, I think it's my first. I've fixed it up a bit since then, of course. It's a standard deathmatch level. Only 2 types of guns, lot'sa health and nowhere to hide.

  19. Frag House

This is my first real attempt at making a good Deathmatch level. I took time in this level making sure there was nothing screwed up with the textures. This level makes for great fraggin' fun! There are some good sniper spots. Also, if you're not careful where you step, you could end up in jail, where you are easy fragbait, and sometimes you may just be left in there by your other fellow players. Also, you may be unfortunate enough to respawn in jail. The music in this level really adds to the effect. The BFG is not that easy to get. This whole level is surrounded by a ravine, so if you happen to fall out(or get shot out) a window, its a long way down! I made sure this level was pretty small so there would be a lot of frags. I play it 3 player and its a fragfest! I think this level will be enjoyable.

  20. FRAG SOUP ][

This PWAD replaces level two of DOOM II. It was designed to be a DeathMatch Level. This level resembles Frag Soup quite a bit, except that it is about 3 times bigger. There are no monsters, and there is an exit. The exit is a cooperative exit. All weapons are available on this level. This is a large playing area, so if you're looking for a low frag deathmatch level, then this is it. The level is centered around a building. This building is surrounded by a courtyard, which has a high ledge surrounding it. All deathmatch starts are on this ledge, and there are four deathmatch starts in total. The building itself has many hallways and staircases inside it. It is very easy to sneak up on someone because there is more than one way to get to some place inside the building. It is also nice and dark inside. Both the BFG9000 and the Plasma Gun are risky to obtain.

Oh yeah! The photo that you see on one of the walls is me!

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
