  2. Gang Up or Shut Up (It's all I could think of)

A Deathmatch only wad for Doom2. Not very big, and It's easy to find the other people. It has four cubie holes for each player to start in. Each person gets a shotgun and a chaingun. If your lucky or unlucky you could start in a sealed off room, that teleports you to the fort in the middle. (You can get in from the outside, theres a hint there.) In the fort you can get lots of ammo, butt only two health Bottles. So the poeple outside can gang up on the person inside, or you can just fight it out all the time. Up to you. There is no Exit. Sorry. Couldn't find a fair place to put one.

  3. GIGAKIL2

The first incarnation of Gigakill, was in the form of 5 consec- utive deathmatch suitable levels. These I titled PALADIUM. After testing them thouroughly and revamping existing levels (and even adding 2 new ones) it has reached it's present and final form, the awesome GIGAKIL2!

  5. Gotohell (10/02/95)

A tidy little level, specifically designed for deathmatch.

Happy frags, and traps for everyone. This wad is designed for people who like to ambush from all points, and who really enjoy a mad, freeforall dash for the toughest weapons on the level. Killing as they go.

Warning! The most powerful weapons place you in direct peril. Get them at your own risk. All of the traps can be maneuvered safely... but I won't tell you how, here.

Note: This level can also be played in single mode, but it is more fun in deathmatch. Either way, there are enough monsters to keep you busy.

** Try NIGHTMARE level if you are psychotic. All weapons are available.

  7. GO

A wad for Deathmatch. I would recommend altdeath. Nothing awazing, but my friends like it more than 60% of other wads they played. I guess that is because they don't like too much searching in a game.

  8. Circle of Guts #1

This is a winding circular PWAD made just for Deathmatch 2.0 play. Tested with 2 players, there are plenty of dark areas and windows and the black player should have fun with these. :) There is a "locator" arrow in the center that drops when the players enter certain areas. Just enough monsters to make nonstop action with -respawn. Try Nightmare level and the imps will surely kick your butt a couple times. There is NO Arch-Vile in here. AVs become annoying when players get toasted every minute. Try to cage your opponents or surprise them on the plasma gun column. Be careful near the respawning well!

  9. In Hell

A 4 player Deathmatch for Doom II, works very well for 2 players also. The dark bowels of Hell is the setting for this breathtaking DeathMatch for Doom II. Twin elevators provide access to Hell, where you will find most of the weaponry in the game. All weapons are available in_hell. There are many sniper positions overlooking popular areas, but beware, there are not many safe spots in_hell. Also watch out for univited riders that drop in on the elevators. Disembark quickly from the elevator or your opponent may drag you back down, and bury you in_hell. The Lava Room will have the bulk of the available ammo, look to the surface for any serious healing(except in -skill 4 or 5). However if you brave the Lava Troughs you can scrounge up enough health to possibly outlast the creatures in_hell. The skill levels are implemented, if you are playing DeathMatch and you would like more weapons and ammo, try adding -skill 4 or 5 to your command line. In single player simply go to Hell (hehehe), retrieve the red skullkey, and come back to the surface alive. In single and cooperative, you may not even see the BFG until you have killed everything. If you are skilled you can get the skullkey and the BFG to make good your escape from Hell. Remember the skill levels are implemented. Cooperative has extra monsters that are only in multi-play(-skill 4 or 5). You and your buddies should make short work of the creatures in_hell. I consider the Lava Room a work of art. Hope you enjoy this WAD !

  12. Garden-O-Death

A DeathMatch for DOOM II, also single player, but not really made with that in mind. There are 4 main areas, the meat locker, the armoury, the balconies, and the garden proper. There are passages from the meat locker and the armoury to the balconies. A wide set of stairs go up the end of the garden to the balconies, where an exit is located. All the weapons are in the armoury, the BFG is hidden, and requires a key(in single player) to gain access to the switch that triggers the door to the BFG. There are weapons scattered about also. Many ambush sites, plenty of ammo, make for fast action in 3 or 4 player DM. There are light switches that turn the light on and off in the garden. Turn off the lights when you get the goggles. The pool in the garden holds life, but death could be lurking right around the corner in the dark :)

  13. Gore Galore (for DOOM 2)

This level is designed especially for DeathMatch 2.0, but it is also an excellent single-player experience (although it will take a DOOM guru to beat it on Ultra-Violence). At first, the level will seem rather large for a DM level, but I can assure you that once all the players become familiar with the map's layout, this level provides the ultimate DeathMatch environment. There are many intricacies present which are not essential for a simple rowdy DM game, but they will truly enhance the game for those who take the time to figure them out. Have fun!

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
