  5. Lucky Charms

Lucky Charms was just a nickname we came up with because in the original, three of the rooms were in the shape of a clover, a diamond, and a horshoe. However, DOOMcad has some problems with its PREFAB mode and it screwed up our level completely. We had to redo it and this time it didn't get messed up. Plus it was magically delicious.

  6. King Me 2

Kingme_2 is very fast and has good snipe points. The music is of the "Techno" type and was reduced by 300K to keep the wad small for download. The pillars in the middle of the court do lower. The BFG is obtainable by taking the blue teleport in the northeast room, you can lower it by pushing on the blue strip that goes from ceiling to floor.

There is no story. There is no theme. Just a plain deathmatch wad. I think its bloody excellent for my third attempt.... hope u do to. :-) I spent a lot of time "perfecting" this wad so I hope _SOMEONE_ will enjoy fragging their friends' butts into asschowder. I know I do. 8-)

We tested it and tested it again, and we think IT'S THE BEST DEATHMATCH WAD WE HAVE EVER PLAYED!!!

  13. King Me

This single level has the order and effect of a fast paced deathmatch wad. The music in this wad is somber. The sound effects are very intense and are NOT for the light at heart. Every spot that contains a powerful weapon also has a spot that one can easily FRAG the opponent who tries to reach it. Why so big? Well, the music and sound effects are what take up the disk space. The level is about 70K, music and sound make up the rest.

  15. KAOS.WAD

This is KAOSWAR! This is a compilation of six ORIGINAL wads by myself. Alot of cool ideas, new sounds, and music. Only a couple of the levels are suited to 1-on-1 deathmatches, so if you are into H-T-H only, then don't both- er with this one... LVL 1- "KAOS" based on the symbol of CHAOS! LVL 2- "WARTIME" a design by my friend, Rek Lord. LVL 3- "KASM" can you say DEEP?? LVL 4- "SHURIKEN" shaped kinda like a ninja star. LVL 5- "HAVOK" you can block off the BFG in this one...very handy. LVL 6- "DREK" This one allows you to block off the BFG AND the Plasma Rifle...

  16. Littlefang v2.0

Littlefang. First stop on your journey to the Planes of Desolation. A lone wooden keep stands at the center of a grass-covered slab of rock that floats through an endless cloudy sky. The gate that brought you here closes behind you with a familiar flash of green light. You know what your mission is: Find the master of the keep, the Arch-Duke of Vileness himself and destroy him. From his dead hands you must wrest the golden skull key and activate the final portal that will lead you to the Elemental Realms. You believe that portal is hidden deep underground somewhere, and is probably guarded by more than just the Duke's demonic minions. The old wizard's final advice to you was:

"You shall never be alone, keep moving, and WATCH YOUR ASS!!"

  17. Laser Quest (Deathmatch WAD)

This WAD is based on the floor layout of my local Quasar, (called laser quest). I made a wad for Doom 1 ages ago (my first DM wad) and this is an updated Doom 2 version. This one has a couple of surprises - two hidden foot switches which make the whole level change state. (see the hints section, below) It can be played with or without monsters. (best with monsters, personally) High frag counts, quick kills.

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
