  2. KK-SNIPE, the sequel to A1-SNIPE!!

    Well, I haven't done a WAD for a while coz one I was working hard on and looked really kewl stuffed up! Noooo! :( So I stopped creating WADs (This was after I did A1-SNIPE) Then one day, AsM had given me the suggestion to do a sequel to A1-SNIPE, so I started with some scrawling on paper, and this is the result! :) Set 1000 years after A1-SNIPE, there has been a land slide, and the new city you built around 500 years ago (Shesh you live a bloody long time for a human! Wowies! :) has had a lot of dirt chucked on top of it. Oops. You then get really angry about this and decide to go on a killing spree against your fragpals. Don't you just LOVE gratuitous violence? >:-)

  8. Keen: The wad.

    Hmm, i guess it is okay for Deathmatch... There are no bad guys in it, so DM would make sense. =) It is actually the floor plan of my house. For some reason the outside wouldn't go in, so it is inside only, missing a few closets.

  9. The really big level with two huge rooms and tunnels connecting them. (I'm feeling original today.)

    Big. Many monsters. Two central areas, with tunnels connecting them. Design of tunnels based on the many subway tunnels I have been in. Use the -Turbo option to increase your speed, otherwise it will take quite a long time to get through this level. This is also my first level so it kinda sucks.

    This level is especially made for Deathmatch with rules 2.0 (respawning items). Single player and multi-coop is also great, but the level might be a little bit too small in this cases.

  16. Jungle ][

    This DOOM II map is a deathmatch wad with a jungle island theme. The setting and ideas are based on my favorite chat BBS, Jungle II, where it carries Game Connection. This map contains new graphics, new sprites, new weapons, sound effects, and a new junglish soundtrack. This map should be used with deathmatch 2.0 (-altdeath) and respawning monsters (-respawn). Be sure -nomonsters parameter is removed, so that the map has man-eating sharks. And you thought Gilligan's Island was fun to watch! Wait until you laugh hard with this awesome creation. :)

    Map features:
    * A big island surrounded by a shark-infested ocean. Also, a tiny island near by.
    * Wooden and stone buildings.
    * Munden's Bar.
    * Overhead speakers that the players can use.
    * Banana and palm trees with goodies.
    * A wooden dock.
    * Game Connection center with interactive computers.
    * Eidble/Usable food: Coconuts, bananas, and cakes.
    * The Club with sexy hula dancers.
    * Dark dungeon.
    * Ladders.
    * Players as hairy apes.
    * Realistic bathrooms! You can hide too!
    * Unbreakable windows that can be opened and closed!
    * Open windows with curtains.
    * Shootable ceiling fans.
    * A small lifeguard tower.
    * "Well of Youth." Hint: Fountain of Youth.
    * Sewer storage building.
    * A grafitti wall that players can read.

  18. Junkyard II

    This is a DeathMatch for Doom II and accomodates up to 4 players. It is a dark night, you and your buddies sneak into the junkyard to duke it out. This level is a junkyard and has an office in the center. The WAD is not huge and not too small, lots of hiding in the office and plenty of sneaking around. It is also a remake of my original WAD junkyard. The original was square, and the office area relatively small. The new version is one large octagon, with a larger office area. There are four main weapon stations that contain the rocket launcher, plasma rifle, chaingun, and super shotgun. There are also four (what I term) alternate stations, which are octagonal columns a little higher than your head. When triggered the outer-skin of the column comes down to boost you up.(also giving your opponent time to stop you) On each of these 'alternate' stations is a lesser, but significant item. No BFG is this WAD, beacause of it's smaller size. Every station can be covered from a darkened office window. (unless you have the goggles) There are 12 DM starting points.

    Watch. Because if your opponent sees you first, he can follow you and destroy you. Listen. Because in this not too big, not too small level, you can be heard from anywhere in the level, through the many passageways connecting everything. Watch your back. Because in this action-packed deathmatch only wad, your enemies can come out of nowhere, from any direction. There's nowhere to hide, no secrets. Just you, and hell. It's up to you. You have to learn how to loose your opponent, then come up behind them and crush them, because in this wad, it's all skill--and the person with the biggest gun doesn't always win. Everything is perfectly balanced, from the monsters to the weapons.

  23. Junk.Wad

    This is my first wad, and I created it for Deathmatch. It has a couple large running areas that you get to run around and the blow the "JUNK" out of each other. I've made a couple of tricks, and traps around the level where you can get your opponent stuck and then blow his/her brains out, and lots of other very cool stuff! Not to large, so you don't spend the whole time looking for your opponent. Oh and there is no exit so you can't accidentally leave in Deathmatch.

    Let's see now...well, its got a lot o' that sandy brick crap, some lava and no plasma gun. There's lots of new sounds (offspring deaths (really cool, from "bad habit":) and an NIN soundtrack). Ummm...Oh yeah, also to beat the level you shoot John Romero and when you do shoot him he says what that ending demon mumbles out when he notices you, un-reversed: "TO WIN THE GAME, YOU MUST KILL ME, JOHN ROMERO" There's also a somewhat new death and a modified status bar.

      I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

      Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

      A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

      Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

      I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
