    Well, here's the answer.

    I found out that it could be done, so I looked around on the net, found some information about the PLAYPAL entry in doom, and fiddled with it..

    This is the end result.

    This is the sequel to my previous, and apparently well-received, version of Reddot. I have gotten a lot of requests for a program of the same ilk to be made for DII. I totally understand this. There are enough levels in DooM that really make use of Reddot, let alone the new great ones in DII.

    I upgraded this version slightly. Apparently, having the dot on the 'immediate damage' weapons (lead-slingers) wasn't enough. So I have added the dot in DII to almost all the weapons instead of a select few. Yes, this even includes the BFG, you maniacs.

    This wad includes new sprites for players in deathmatch. O.K., not so new sprites, in fact I just replaced the old face with helmet with MY face. But can I say it is really me in the arena? No. 1) I don't smoke 2) I am not so good artist to catch my face in 10x10 pixels. Anyway, I hope you will try this in your next deathmatch session and tell me whether you liked my new death sequences.

    This is a simple graphics patch that replaces the chainsaw from DOOM/DOOMII with a reasonable facsimile of my Husqvarna 272xp. (Stihl fans, please be patient. If this goes over I may try a patch of an 064 next. :-)

    I figured a real badass space marine doesn't need to worry about kickback when he's hacking up monsters, so I did away with the chainbrake.

    I also "loosened the chain", added a "green weenie" air filter, and a wrap around handlebar for maximum carnage. I've replaced the titlepic and the ending text page with variations on the chainsaw theme. I replaced the skull-selector with a cute little running Husky.

    I wanted to add more realistic chainsaw sounds, but they kept coming out too fast, etc... despite the fact that I followed the rules. I've got some awesome sounds thanks to the guys at Cloud Nine sound studio in Chico, CA. If there is enough support for the patch, I may try again later. Suggestions are welcome.

    Well here's the story. (Who cares anyway ?!) Once upon a time four UAC-Marines tried to save the human race by fighting the evil forces of hell. Unfortunately they killed themselves in an ultimate deathmatch, so Earth is doomed. But there is still a chance to survive the attack of Evil. John Rambo himself and his three brothers have agreed to save the day. This Sprite-Patch replaces the four Marines with Rambo-look-alikes, wearing a headband (Player-Color) and sunglasses.

  21. The status bar from Houses 1.3

    This is a status bar I originally put together for Houses 1.3. I just decided that I would make this so you can download it to see the quality of the actual Houses WAD.

    What I did was I took the wall texture called PIPES, I chopped it up into a 32x320 area, and put together the letters and item seperations. Even with such an unprofessional editor such as Neopaint, the final product has a quality of something like Adobe Photoshop.

    By the way, I'd like to make corrections about Houses 1.3. For level 8, I said there was a Led Zeppelin song on there. Before I released the WAD, I changed that stupid song to One, which was made by Metallica.

      I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

      Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression.       A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

      Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

      I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
