  2. Your Mum

A duel map that took no time at all. Aside from some graphics problems after clearing some unnecessary graphics (the file would have been smaller but it didn't like it when I removed unnecessary graphics for some reason).

  3. Year 2 Kill

The level has under 800 linedefs 'cos it was made on a shareware program. I've tried to make the most of the linedefs available and used almost all of what I was given. The constraints were probably a good thing 'cos it stopped the level from getting too large - it seems to have settled at a good death match size. The single player lacks a bit because of this, so I tried to make up for it by jamming it full of tricks - don't expect to get through it first time unless you're good.

  5. VICTIM.WAD V2.0 for DOOM ][

One of the deatchmatch competitors has to enter a bunker-like stronghold by using the teleporter in the north of the starting-room. Once used this teleporter is sealed. The other ones are his victims, and THERE ARE ways to kill the bunker dude. Inside the bunker are six rooms, connected by teleporters. The main platform in the middle of the area is the main lookout and connection to four sniper positions. This looks like that:

    x

    x O x

    x

where x is one of the sniper positions and the 'O' is the main platform. Remember: By using the teleports quickly, you are able to travel from south to north faster than a rocket. The fifth teleporter in the 'O' (which walls are only transparent from the inside, but can be shoot from outside) is the connection to the control room. Here you are safe (Ok, I build in a trap to keep my friend from entering it), you have all weapons and ammo. Important: There are six buttons in this room. More important: Press only one of them until the victims have handeled it (One button rises the bottom of one of the six holes in the area. PRESS ONLY ONE OF THEM, because if there are a lot of cybers outside, you have two problems: 1) THEY kill your victims, what means you don't get many frags. 2) If there are more that 2 of those guys outside, it's hard to know where they are and then maybe a rocket (or ten or more) passes trough the small windows of the sniper positions and that's it. (The main platform is too dangerous with cybers out there, because THEY can (unlike your victims) see you (and kill you) through the walls.

This time there is a possibility to get in the bunker from the outside. But its nearly impossible to find out by trying (This is, because YOU want to sit in the (safe) bunker and YOU want your victims OUT there, okay?). Just check the linedefs in a level editor to find the way from outside to inside. (When your victims *eh, I mean friends* would know the way the game becomes lame)

    * For use with altdeath only. * Be warned of upset friends. * This level is highly unfair. ( I like that )

  6. WoodY.WaD

COMMENTS: This is a fairly difficult .WAD file. It took me about 3 weeks to make. I think you'll like it. It has the CyberDemon, Spider Boss, and The Final Enemy. It also has every gun EXCEPT BFG 9000. It is pretty good for deathmatch, although I made it with CooP in mind.

This map should provide some fast DM action, the 3 main areas are well linked for maximum access. Just enough height variation to keep things interesting. Plays really well with ports supporting mlook IMHO.

A tunnel system with many passages and rooms, and a big arena. One room has not the "Tunnel" theme; the "Red Hall". This is done intentionally. Just gloomy, altought it runs on MAP04, wich means that the music is swingin' :)

  14. WARZONE

These are some awsome deathmatch levels for DOOM ][ and have all been made after Quake was released. Until I have figured out how to make levels with Quest or some other Quake editor I will keep updating this series.

Level Descriptions ------------------ map 01 - This level is awsome, cool lighting, and lots of DB shotguns what more could you ask for?

map 02 - This is THE ULTIMATE DEATH ARENA, it has limited ammo and has a total of 3 weapons in it, it also has no health kits or spheres so the frags build up very quickly, it also has a teleporter at each end.

map 03 - This level started out sort of like the basement of my house but quickly then kind of changed into something else, has a chaingun, DB Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, and a chainsaw

map 04 - This level is bigger than alot of the other levels and could be used with 3 players.

map 05 - This level was made after deathmatching in a Quake tournament, so I did some stuff that was from a Quake level I was playing in. It's an awsome level and has all the guns except the BFG. This level rules and is meant for 3-4 players but can be played with 2.

map 06 - This level is neat I don't really know how else to explain it.

map 07 - I give up! I'm not explaining this or the following levels. Try them out for yourself.

Second part of my XMasDM series, has a big round hall-like cave and a small outside area. There is also one piece that you can see but not go into that should remain you about DooM's E1M1 but it's done all with snow and water instead of normal textures.

  19. VICIOUS CIRCLES DEATHMATCH v1.0

11 new deathmatch levels for DOOM ][. These levels were developed for the original engine v1.9. Some corrections for jumping players and a special 'mlook' sky will hopefully let it work with all existing and upcoming ports. If you notice problems or have any suggestions mail us. VICIOUS will surely soon be updated (Echo is working on a new level).

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
