A medium-sized DMATCH level with two outdoor areas and plenty of windows. Lots of "cover" to avoid that rapid- fire. Fun to play with monsters if you got the guts!

  4. Vector Deth Pak I

Well...here it is. We got up to five vdeth levels, and so here's the pak. It's a compilation of vdeth1 through vdeth5. There's also a bonus level on map 6. Juan and I jointly created the bonus level. Look for the secret exit somewhere in vdeth5 (Or you can cheat and skip there, hehe.) I changed a few things about all the levels. Made them cooler. There are a few replaced sounds, and totally new music (the bonus level music you might have heard before though.) If you HAVEN'T played the vdeth levels before, there's a whole bunch of weird effects and secrets all over that you'll probably have to learn. Too much to describe here, but if you have any questions, just drop a line. E-mail us!

  6. Zman Deathmatch Collection One

This is a concatenation of some of the Best dm wads, and i have tested a LOT (i'd say about 500). These are all smaller ones for CONSTANT ACTION small enough for 2 player, but not cramped for 4 player. I just hate playing a collection and coming to these humongus levels where it takes hours to find each other. You wont find any large-marge type ones in here. There arent any super secret hiding spots (well, ok there is ONE ;) that usually wreck the game, as i hate those. There are some great new sounds and about half of the songs are replaced. The only ones without new songs are the ones with decent doom2.wad music. The sounds were put in for change of pace, and some humor (you'll see when you pick up a sphere :)

  8. XD700.WAD

Designed for Deathmatch (small, compact and no overflow of goodies). The size fits perfectly for 2 players. Use -altdeath (Deathmatch 2 rules). Single player is possible as well, but only in skill 5 (nightmare). Try to maximize the kills-percentage using the given ammunition (should be >1000% if you don't waste shells and cells as shown in my demo). There are only 6 monsters inside, but watch out. It's not as easy as it looks.

  9. Heavy Weapons Blinking

After doing and playing in YDDMT.WAD, I decided that I want to make a deathmatch level with safe starts (like MAP21 in YDDMT.WAD) and powerful weapons and 200%, so that we'll have a tough deathmatch (BFG9000 in the beginning!). The main area has much ammo for the new deathmatch (with items respawn)

  11. WOODWORK1

There it is! The WoodWork house! But why is it called Woodwork? Well you can see that the house was well crafted out of Wood and the Work that the builder did was outstanding. You can tell that the house was made for DeathMatch cause your enemy cleaned out all the monsters, leaving nothing but blood behind! Your job is to search the WoodWork and find your enemy! If you have what it takes then go recover the WoodWork! See if you can hold the Title for this Wad! Bet ya can't!

Vertigo is a single level deathmatch wad for map 01. If you're scared of heights stay away from this one. No exit tons of fun, and an excellent d-match or co- op game. Real simple square level. Very large map size though.

A fragfest Deathmatch level! Run around and try to stay powered up while blasting the other players! No way to guard the weapons, so it's all fair and square. Also, no secrets, so the previous player has no advantage but his/her own skill.

  19. A whole can of Whup Ass!

I finished this level in one sitting (6hours) and I think it is some of my best Work. It's kind of a twisted and phsychotic playground with weapons. You can single-play it, but it's really designed for death match. There are NO ROOMS FILLED WITH ARCHVILES. That alone makes it worth the download.

  24. WHERE AM I?

DOOM2 DEATHMATCH LEVEL! ITS DESIGNED WITH THE -RESPAWN & -ALTDEATH IN MIND. THE MONSTERS KEEP YA MOVIN! SKILLS 1 & 2 ARE FOR 2 PLAYER, AND SKILLS 4 & 5 ARE FOR 4 PLAYER. WHAT ABOUT 3 PLAYER? YOU DECIDE! IF YOUR GOOD DOOMERS..I SUGGEST 1&2. THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 2 PLAYER & 4 PLAYER IS AMMO & HEALTH. I'VE ONLY PLAYTESTED 2 PLAYER AND THERE WAS TOO MUCH AMMO, SO I PUT IN SKILL LEVELS. THERE IS NO EXIT, BECAUSE I HATE WHEN SOMEONE HITS THE EXIT 20 SECS INTO IT! ONCE I MAKE MORE LEVELS I'LL PUT IN EXITS.

  25. Yards of Chaos

This is not just yet another deathmatch map. I put a lot of thought and testing into this excellent level. The weapons and powerups are placed to ensure maximum excitement and fun. There is no BFG or plasma rifle in the map, they are _NOT_ suitable for deathmatch.

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
