3rd wad I've done for the level design group, iNTREPiD. I decided to try a change of pace. Usually, my DM wads are large, with plenty of room for a "hunt-style" game. I kept this wad nice and tight. I'm really pleased with the results. Hope you are too.

  4. Kick Yo Ass REMiX I

This is a totally awesome, and extremely addictive remix of the awesome but never played (becuz it was too cheap) wad: KASS_DM2. This is a total remix and replaces all the items and we thought since we were doing the items, why not make the level cooler so we did, and we put in some...ahem...interesting things...:)... anyway, this wad is cool and give it a try, and we will have more versions of this awesome wad soon...and REMEMBER, for max enjoyment play 4 PLAYERS! 3 players is ok too...:(...

  5. Waterworks

Well, I liked the decor in the Abandoned Mines level of Doom II but it's too big for deathmatch. So, here's a much smaller version, perfect for 2-player. Nothing too special, just quite a few alterable bits. Primarily tests your long- range skills with bullet weapons.

  6. Wacker

This is mainly for deathmatch. I have the weapons available immediately upon startup. No pistols aginst plasma guns here... Everybody is on an even keel. Come to life get the weapons & KILL or be KILLED!!!!! If you want fewer monsters in the way,use -skill 1 on the command line. If you want more, use medium or hard. It can be played single & there are plenty of baddies w/skill level 3+. The weps will be scattered around in different places on single play. There are different ways to play this level to produce enjoyable results...Enjoy...

  20. Waldo World Arena

This is a DOOMed version of the "Waldo World Arena" in Marathon. If you don't know what this means, too bad. If you DO, then you'll know exactly where you're at! This was always one of my favourites, & I plan to do more... "What goes up, must come down" is the next one. I sort of mimicked the texture choices, but mostly didn't. Because DOOM doesn't have the MA-75, & Marathon doesn't have the shotguns, the weapon placement is a little different. I replaced the Pfhor with four Imps...

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
