  1. FROM OUT OF THE WAD BIN... 'Impo'

This is just a graphics and sound replacement making the marine (you) an imp. I started it like 2 years ago.

I actually wanted to make a whole level where you're an escaped imp and you got to brake out of some marine infested laboratory or something. I only got around to doing the imp mugshot and weapons and then gave up on it.

This map was supposed to have been a part of Doom Enigma.

An action packed episode 1 style map from the creator of CH Retro Episode.

Note that it is for Doom II, not Ult. Doom!

Tested with zDoom and Skulltag with no problems. I am unsure whether a port is required or not...

  13. Helevator

Helavator is actually a section in a map I’m working on called Too Easy. However, I thought I would make it a map in its own right as I thought it would be an interesting stand alone level. Interesting because of its unusual design and because it’s made in only ten sectors. I’ve read about the ten sector maps Doomworld compiled but too late to submit a WAD of my own. Still, I found the concept intriguing.

We designed this level as part of a competition in the danish newspaper Politiken. (The original HBG-WAD took the 1. prize :-) The senario is Copenhagen central station, with InterCity and ABB IC3 trains and ticket conductors.

  18. Hell Pit

I made this level sometime in '96. It's one of my earliest levels that wasn't lost or deleted. I was very happy with this map when it was finished. Playing it now, well, it has its moments but overall it's a silly place. The ending is rather stupid, after getting the blue key hit the switch next to the blue door then go back past the red skull barriers, a teleporter will have opened to your left. It takes you a room with three switches, the one near the dead marine will open a small room, I think you have to enter the room to open the blue exit door. It's dumb I know, don't ask what I was thinking.

  22. NUTSs: the last fight

A small little sotry: There were once a small little space marine, no one knew his name, but he had killed half of hell in weird joke maps, slige maps and other good maps. He was started to be bored, so he started his remote telport system up and saw if there were any need for help sometime. When he was searching he found a big weird sector textured with weird green textures, he wondered what it were. He could see something were moving down here, but he wonder what itwas, so he pressed the button to his teleport and entered the teleport, waht he didn't knew was it was hell's biggest depot of creatures, ready to enter earth's cities (again?) and he knew he had to kill them all for not let them rule earth again. It is your turn now, stop them!...

  24. Templ2_0.wad

This is a major revision to a level that I created long ago. I always felt that it was a good level, but at the time it was originally constructed, my skills were a bit lacking. Let's just say that the level was designed too early in my career as a WAD builder. Recently I reviewed the original work, and decided to breathe some new life into it. Now that it's complete, I believe that I've finally succeeded in making this level what it was meant to be.

This level is set in an ancient temple, which lies long forgotten in the heart of a remote jungle. You, as the adventurer, have discovered this ancient edifice. Long thought to be just a myth, you enter the temple with visions of treasure and wealth. What you soon discover is that although this place was forgotten by civilization long ago, it was not abandoned.

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
