  2. KILLER.WAD

This is a series of levels for DOOM ][ designed to be challenging for even the most experienced players. For comparison, I have twice beaten Doom ][ on Ultra-Violence (including Level 30, and without cheat codes). My standard of difficulty is that I should be able to complete the level about half the times I attempt it. Only the first few levels are of proper difficulty for someone using -warp or cheat codes to reach them. Later levels expect you to arrive with ammo, armor, weapons, etc. I've only tested the game on Ultra- Violence, and I use all the secret areas in my calibration runs.

This level started off as a jail, but I got a little off track. This wad was designed for single player in mind but it can be used in deathmatches and in coopertive.

  8. Untitled

This is by far my most complex level. It is my first with traps and switches. It has some influences from different places, mainly Dark Forces. There is also and extremely deadly maze. If you get lost, remember the IDDT code...

  10. jayswad2.zip

This level isn't the best thing in the world but it's a quick download. The level has about 5 rooms and has one secret room. It doesn't have any new graphics or sound so don't expect flame throwing Barneys, just regular old imps and troops. One room has a big mess of baddies at the end of a hall.

  11. jayswad.zip

I hope you like this doom level that I made. It isn't perfect but it is the first one I have ever made. There is one slight screw up in the begining but thats about it. There is only about 7 rooms in the level and at the end there is a maze full of bad guys. There is also one secret room.

  12. The Library (for DOOM 2)

This level is designed especially for DeathMatch 2.0, but it is great solo as well. Secret doors play an important role ( you cant complete the level without finding one of them!) but they all can be found fairly easily. The secret doors connect all of the areas of the map together making it possible to get around quickly, for great Deathmatch play.

  15. Legend of Zelda Dungeon #1

This level is based on the layout and design of the first dungeon of the old Nintendo game "The Legend of Zelda". I don't know why I thought of doing it, but once I thought of it, I immediately set out to make a level from it. It is a pretty accurate import of the original level, items are in the same places, all the enemies are there, etc. Even the Triforce piece is present.

  18. Kalrac's House

It is, as the title states, Kalrac's house. The item placement is crappy because I did not design it around that it was designed for the house part, and nothing else. The glass doors are neat (You'll know them when you see them.)

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
