  1. deathz0r Episode 1: The Old Menace

Run away, it's the unreleaseable deathz0r maps! I'm serious, if you attempt to look at these, you are certain to produce some sort of phobia with crappy wads, or wads that were made in 1997.

However, I must mention a few things:

    * Dean.wad is map06, there was no text file for it. * Wadpack.wad originally had modified Doom 2 maps in it, so I removed them and kept the level I made from scratch (map09), plus I preserved the date and time. * Suprdoom.wad and Sprdoom2.wad are both map01. * They are horrible, but better than half the shit that is in /newstuff.

  7. OUT OF PHASE 3: ONE CLOUDY AFTERNOON

"Out of Phase 3" is an action packed map for Doom II. Like the other levels in my "Out of Phase" series, this one was made very quickly, during a burst of inspiration! I probably spent 10-12 hours max, on it. And like "Out of Phase" this is a small map.

This time, the look is more like classic Doom II mixed with my own style of course. It's actually got a good level of detail too, surprisingly.

I'm pretty proud of this little level :) Enjoy!

  9. Newstuff 100

This map was thrown together to celebrate the 100th week of Newstuff at DoomWorld! Yes, the design is quite linear, but it was easier to make those huge letters that way. what do you want? should I have made the areas like a circle or something? And don't complain about the BFG, if you don't want to use it, dont freaking use it. also, the BFG is only there in skill level 1 and 2 anyways.

  13. OUT OF PHASE II

Sequel to "Out of Phase" - two maps done in the same style! These were based loosely on two of my Speedmaps, but even if you've played those before, you'll notice that a lot has been changed - these are not the same maps!

Like in my first "Out of Phase", these maps also use the _METAL1_ doors, and the dark corridors with bright lights at the intersection :)

  14. The Orangery

Back at the end of the 18th century, the demon hell spawn first began secretly to colonise the Earth. They landed near the South Coast of England and slowly began to battle their way North meeting resistance but usually crushing it without mercy or compunction.

They finally reached Sussex and took over an old building there called The Orangery. This building is now owned by a UK Software House and there are some who would say that the current incumbents bear more than a passing resemblance to the demons and monsters of old.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to work your way through this huge area, blagging everything that moves, locate all the keys and escape through the exit. You should know early on in the game where the exit is, but it's a hell of a job to get through it and you will need to solve many puzzles and avoid many traps before you achieve this.

Pwad for DOOM2 - Only 7 rooms but this one got WAY out of hand. May still be some visplane errors in 1.9, but BSP30 -vp option really cleaned it well. Tested fine in Doom95. Could this be the world's 1st Doom95 specific wad?

  19. Mustache Doom

My last map was an entry to Metabolist's Wad-in-a-week contest -- it was called The Archvile's Revenge (for good reason). This one is the Cyberdemon's revenge. Most players will want to play Hurt Me Plenty(if anything)... UV is geared for the Cyber-freaks out there. My maps are ugly, so don't expect much. Created in about 4 hours... wound up playing it more than editing, I think.

  20. Nexus

Hmn, don't know what to say about this one... It's just an experiment with gameplay. I have a love for arcade shooter games (Darius, Galaga, Raiden, Gradius etc) and wanted to see what would happen if I mixed Doom with arcade style gameplay.

So there are lots of things to kill, and each level is intensely hard. The levels intentionally do not fit together (to mimic arcade game style). I want the player to really, I mean really, work to beat this wad.

Intended to be played with doom2.exe Ports alter gameplay, and gameplay is paramount.

  24. The Military Base

This is a Military Base. As the name says, it's a technical place, such as the Doom shareware episode levels. All skill settings are there, so everyone can play! UV skill can be hard, but there's enough ammo to kill all monsters -- if you find it! The music is copied from Doom1 E1M3, because that's one of my favourites.

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
