  1. Nitro's Doom

This is the final version of my first Doom WAD. It's nothing too good but I hope you'll like it. For older versions, look in the file folder "oldversions".

  2. Midnight Tek Frenzy

Fast-paced, challenging map in a nighttime tek setting. All 6 keys are present and can be aquired in any order. It's a bit rushed, so there's some sloppy visuals, but nothing too serious. Originally intended to be released with Community Chest 4.

  3. Master Cooperative

A 17-map cooperative single player wad. Also might be suitable for two players. It contains the first two episodes, an interlude, and a final set of maps. All included maps are completed as-is, and I have no intention of completing all 32 maps at any time.

  7. Doxylamine Moon: Overdose

TURN OFF "try to evulate IT"! The map is in fact a reinterpretation and continuation of my map from Sacrament wad.

Major differences: - The map became "playable", e.g. there are many monsters in it (this was the main goal of remaking the original). - New locations added. Hope they are as successful as those in "Doxylamine Moon" in Sacrament. - Automap added and handled properly. - Also, old locations have been slightly modified.

Now, a few words about the plot. Generally it's based on the Sacrament wad story: It's the End of the World. All unworthy people see each other as monsters, including the protagonist. The action is taking place later than the Sacrament.wad's plot. The protagonist wakes up in a museum, where he passed out for a while - due to an overdose. By this time the End of the World has entered the final phase long ago (it began in the end of Sacrament.wad), and among other things, the wet areas became freezing (slightly). The main character, of course, is not aware of what's going on, so he must think what to do in this situation.

  12. The Nucleus

Another month, another release: this time, a very sketchy (and I admit, ugly) original idea left to lie on my hard drive for 13 years (now 14, happy new year!) has gotten a new lease on life as a bloody, brutal self-contained level. Geared for less switch hunt (I read the criticism), more slaughter. All roads lead back to the core, the main arena, hence the title of the piece. There aren't any difficulty settings implemented: only the speed of your foes and the pain you're dealt need increase. Ammo and health are tight, of course. But no getting stuck in nukage pits this time around, I promise! As usual, freelook and jumping need to be activated for full enjoyment. Cheers!

  13. Morpheus Arms

The barrier between reality and dreams has fallen. And you have volunteered to venture into the fray, wary of the unintended consequences of such a frightful marriage. Fight your way through a decaying military industrial complex that has merged all too seamlessly with the nightmarescapes of Hell itself. And hope against hope that the dream doesn't suck you in for good... You'll need freelook and jumps activated to beat the odds.

  14. The Mountain Base

A large tech base built on top of a dusty mountain. Simple, but it's my first real map and I just came up with it as I went. In the end, I think it turned out pretty good.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The player is not supposed to jump when playing this level. Doing so allows you to pass over objects that are supposed to impede the player's progress until they are lowered to a level the player can walk over. When in doubt, just remember that this is a Vanilla DOOM II style map. Modern source-port trickery is generally not allowed. ;)

  15. Path to Oblivion

Another oldie from 1996 that I polished up for the modern era (though it's still more or less vanilla in persuasion). This one's been sitting on the shelf for a while -- it's been ready since early this year, but I chose to playtest it some more and then got wrapped up making Firestorm, my other recently released wad. Gameplay is now greatly improved from what it was when I first loaded it up after some 13 years. No story here -- just what I hope is a good, rough romp through some demon dimension cooked up by my imagination given free range. You'll need to activate jumping and freelook to fully enjoy. Cheers!

  18. Newgothic - movement 1

My little repository of insane slaughter maps. Movement 1 released because I wanted to focus on Uacultra 2 with 40oz. So about the maps, this wad contains 18 gothic, industrial, or hell-themed maps, many are actually a bit of a combination of themes. Expect numbers of monsters around the largest slaughter maps you've encountered, or possibly more. But the gameplay in most will be a little easier cause I overstock powerups.

  20. The Ultimate Melee Battle

Have you ever wanted to just slap an imp silly? Ever dream of showing that pesky Revenant how a punch is really thrown? Do you chainsaw pink demons to death even when you have plenty of ammo? Then this wad may be just what you need to satiate your thirst for "up close and personal" killing.

In this level, assuming you don't cheat, you'll only have access to two weapons: your fist (augmented by berserk pack) and the chainsaw. I'm placing you on the honor code with regard to the pistol and the 50 rounds you start with, but even if you use it, you'll soon run out of ammo, and there is none to be had in this level.

Make no mistake, this level is not for sissies. The level starts out easy but quickly becomes rather nasty. Expect to face most of the DOOM 2 bestiary before you see the exit. The following are some general strategies for dealing with monsters, melee style. For imps, lost souls, and demons/spectres, either punching or the chainsaw will work well. Use the chainsaw on Pain Elementals, Cacodemons, and Arachnotrons, as it prevents them from attacking most of the time. For Hell Knights and Barons, I recommend you run up to them and punch ONCE, then back up and circle-strafe, rinse and repeat. For Mancubus, Revenant, and Arch-Vile, punch ONCE and then run to cover, rinse and repeat.

I included a demo file which will work with ZDoom 2.4.1, mostly because I'm sure some joker will say this level is too hard or impossible. The demo shows me beating the level with 100% everything. My DOOM skills are average at best, so if I can do it, you can do it. Make use of monster infighting and save often!

  21. Necro Elemento

The map must have a lot of effect errors. But... I think it's the best map I've made in my ugly life. A lot of effects that I didn't know before. Thanks to the life's experience XD. A map very..., mmmm, varied in textures, but the architecture barely changes (you'll see).

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
