  1. Tungsten

A small single-player techbase map made for the third battleofthebits.org Doom 2 mapping contest.

This map features new textures based on the stock ones, edited by yours truly, and showcases my "unorthogonal" style of maps seen over the last 2 or 3 years starting with Mayhem 2048's MAP01 "Unorthogon", and a birthday map for friend of mine jmickle66666666.

  3. Uplink

Three maps taking place in a virtual reality infected by Hell.

Made in January-February of 2015, these were inspired by various cyberpunk, vaporwave, and other, similar sci-fi music and artworks - in fact, it was intended to be the part of a bigger mapset that couldn't happen eventually.

I wish I could tell anything else, but that's all: finished maps waiting in silence for almost two years.

I hope you enjoy them after so much pause! Good luck!

cc4-tex.wad fully included, with some textures replaced by own creations.

    Music:

"One Must Fall 2097 - Menu v1.1" MIDI Maebashi Station - Chicago Skaven - Walk it off Deus Ex: Nihilum OST - Queens, ambient track

  10. Shadowmaker

This is my first attempt on making an Invasion map, hopefully it meets up to standards and expectations of a traditional invasion game. This map contains seven waves, in which the player will have to fight through mounds of demons and hellspawn. To spice the waves up a bit, I have included different music to play through every few waves. Moreover, this is a contribution submission to Zandronum's Community project: Invasion Unleashed [ https://zandronum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=43155#p43155 ]

Furthermore, I will note that the light house - isn't exactly the way I imagined. The light house just doesn't seem like a light house without some sort of halo or a strong indication of the source hosting an actual light. When the player is in side the light house, the point light is enough to demonstrate that the light house's light source is active, but from a-far - it isn't as it is simply way too dark. There has to be a better way to make the light house actually seem like a light house, but I am unsure as to how. If anyone has a solution, feel free to make it happen.

In addition, do note that the SkullTag Resources is required to play this map. With that said, the load order has to be specific. Load Order must be the following: SkullTag_Contents.pk3 shdwmkr.pk3 The link to the SkullTag Resources is provided below under "Other files required".

Why is this map called Shadowmaker? Primarily from this song by Apocalyptica: Shadowmaker [ https://youtu.be/MtUU5AP4XZg ]

VIDEO RENDERER NOTES ------------------------- OpenGL _IS_ required when playing this map. This map utilizes dynamic lighting as a source for lights and effects, as well as 3D Slopped Floors.

PERFORMANCE NOTES ------------------------- This map might be rather resource and rendering intensive on various systems abroad. Here is a few Console Variables that could help a bit by disabling some special features based on the Zandronum [GZDoom] engine: Line Mirrors (Software Renderer) R_DrawMirrors [True|False] Line Mirrors (OpenGL Renderer) GL_Mirrors [True|False] Sector Reflections GL_Plane_Reflection [True|False] Dynamic Lights GL_Lights [True|False] Render translucency effects R_DrawTrans [True|False] Toggle Rendering Precision GL_Render_Precise [True|False]

  11. The Wreck

This was my 2016 vinesauce mapping competition submission. UAC has located a sunken ship with important stuff on board. You are sent to investigate the ship. It turns out that you are not the only one around. You also notice that part of the ship is upside down. You start fighting your way through the cargo, machine rooms, engine rooms, living quarters, ball rooms, recreation when eventually you will reach the deck which is basically in a giant drained cave.

  15. Tapperoo

You just escaped from a hellish monstrosity on the helipad of this large skyscraper. The elevator broke on its way down, and it looks like this floor ain't too welcome either. You have no idea what this place did before the apocalypse, but now it just serves as a road block to your survival. Rip and tear to the bottom of this industrial totem, and escape to tell the tale.

PS: I don't know why it's called tapps, couldn't think of anything to name it, so a happy gilmore reference is what you're getting. Also, I wanted a bigger and better ending, but everything I tried sucked and I was tired, so the exit is a bit underwhelming.

A collection of seven maps scrapped from Valiant early in it's development that have been collecting dust on my hard drive for close to four years.

I've been asked to share them numerous times. Here they are. Don't expect much (I threw them out, after all)!

This wad makes extensive use of DeHackEd, so please play this only with ZDoom, Zandronum, Eternity, or Prboom-plus 2.5.1.4 or higher (complevel 11).

    Gameplay mods probably won't work.

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
