  1. TRIPLINE!

The name says it all! Be ready when you pick things up and watch where you step. Tripline requires you to pick up all keys and many other objects. Cheat codes will work but you still must run over objects. If you get stuck just pick something up and it will clear the problem. Please forward any comments or suggestions to one of the above addresses.

  5. The Basement (first of a series)

This is the basement of a large power plant recently taken over. Several Space Marines have already failed to retake. It is crucial that this plant not remain in enemy hands. It is reported that there are spiders in the basement...

The layout of this plant is NOT 'steering'. By that I mean that the layout does not force you down any particular path. There are suggestions (in the form of dead marines) that you take a different route - it's up to you to head the warnings left by your late comrades who thought to charge right in, pistol flashing. The building is logically laid out and as realistic as DOOM2 allows. Again - this WAD is very free-form. Attention to detail and realism are the watch-words here. Explore. If you are one of those who go charging into every room - you WILL die. This level can kill-you-quick. Try to put yourself in your guys shoes - would YOU really sprint into the middle of an enemy filled room??? Fools rush in, etc... 'nuff said. Husband your resources. There is plenty of ammo to complete the level - if you don't waste it. Make those shots count, Marine! There are no real puzzles to figure out to complete the level. If something seems impossible for you to accomplish, either there is probably another way to get the same results or else you don't HAVE to go that way to complete the level. All weapons, including the backpack, are available, except the BFG. This is a large WAD designed primarily for single player and coop play by *cooperative* coop players. Due to the size, a 50 MHz 486 is recommended. Skill levels: Skill levels are incorporated with Hurt Me Plenty roughly equivalent to Ultra-Violence in the original game. Ultra-Violence is meant to be a real challenge, even to the best doomers. Even I die occasionally on UV.

3 levels of DooM II mania. I made the plot which you can read below. I wanted to include different music, but due to lack of utilites, I could not create any. You should find these levels fun, and I made it so that each level continues off of the last one. Please let me know what u think. Contact me at my e-mail address. :

  8. Shaken, Not Stirred (updated)

Why think of a theme, just kill everyone!! Actually, you're in some sort of an electrical storm. See if you can make your way to the city undergrounds and kill as many people as possible on your way down.... Your goal is 100% kills!!!!!

I made the switch that opens the door, permanate for convenient use. I also made Ultra- Violence just a hair easier (Nothing that will piss off hard core Ultra- Violence players) If you enjoy this level, check out BNEMUD.ZIP. I co-wrote this level witha friend of mine, and we really enjoy the out come of our efforts. For convenience, if you like this level, all future levels I make will be SP_(something) and all the ones I make with my friends, will be bne(Something) Please check them out. We are currently working on A Startrek spoof, and a Wolfenstein Spoof. (Bnemud, is for DOOM I)

  9. Surveying Base

You've been on a survival exercise away from the surveying base you're stationed at for the past ten days. Just before you left the boffins were very excited by what they'd discovered. As you arrive back at the base after the exercise, you wonder idly what it was that the boffins had found. And you wonder why it's so quiet ....

Playable singleplayer, co-op or deathmatch. Biggest weapon is the Plasma Rifle in all cases. Low key - most combat will be shotgun, chaingun or double barrel.

  13. Santa Rosa 8 ASSAULT

I hope you didn't loaded my first Santa Rosa WAD; it was a shame. I have worked during the last weeks to give you the improved version I promissed you. And if you were disapointed with the first one (I´m sure you were), try this one and you will inmediately note the GREAT DIFFERENCE. First, I have to say that not all the things in this WADs were done by me, so I have to give credits to the following persons: *Steve McCrea, Simon Wall, & Elias Papavassilopoulos (sm@eng.cam.ac.uk) for some textures borrowed from TRINITY.WAD *Norman Scott/Tim Scott (norman.scott@flatland.com / tscott@plains.nodak.edu) for the sprites borrowed from their R2wolf.zip *Olivier Montanuy ( montanuy@dmi.ens.fr ) for the great pine borrowed from SWGFX4.zip * The creators of Wolfenstein * The creators of Doom * The creators of WinTex * The creators of Deu2 * The creators of Doom Cad * Bill Neisius for his audio and graphic editors for both Doom and Wolfenstein

Now, here comes the description of what I have done: In the Santa Rosa 8 WAD, you can know by yourself how is my house here in Metepec, Mexico. I put any single detail of my house in this new Level including those archs in my garage (I hope you like them). I even added and changed some textures sprites to give my WAD the real appearence of my house. I changed some sprites such as the Medikit, the Compumap, the trees and the columns. And for some nostalgic remembrance, I placed some of the stuff from Wolfstein3D. You won't be disapointed with the new sounds I added. I recorded them from a popular Video Game of an earth worm in a powerful suit.In addition to all this, I improved the level, repairing all those stupid bugs and adding more and better distributed enemies and weapons, more locked doors, better shaded zones, a new city sky, improved textures and more.

I have to warn you that before you play this WADs, you have to run INSTALL.BAT, to complete the sprites and flats. Just copy the files (including deusf.exe) to your DOOM ][ directory and run Install.

Y AQUI VA ALGO PARA TODOS LOS DOOM ADICTOS DE MEXICO: ! QUE DE POCA MADRE ESTA EL NIVEL QUE HICE! ! Y QUE VIVA MEXICO CABRONES!

A final word: DOOM ][ is an hiper-very-excelent game: don't copy it illegally.

  21. Sirius1 - suburbia

This is the first in a series of levels I have developed over the past year or so. This level is designed for a single-player adventure, but multi-player is also supported. I have tried very hard to create a detailed environment, not just some rooms to kill things in. These levels all stress skill in combat and puzzle solving. You wil be killed many times on "hurt me plenty", so I've included difficulty settings. However, I have been able to finish them fine.

This is a DOOM II-only deathmatch wad coop or single play. I is a small wad There are many secret areas to obtain health and weapons with not too many monsters in between. There is a megasphere in the centre pit but i wouldn`t suggest fall in to get it, find the secret and dont get telefraged. There is one secret exit so you will have to set a time limit. There area different atricles on differnt skill levels and on skill 1 or 2 your in for cyberdeath. There is no bfg, sorry. Hope you like it.

It seems the only way out is to find the control room to open up the exit. But can you get there and back??

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
