    i was in my bedroom, i got nothing to do, when suddenly, i had a crazy idea. i picked up my mother's broom, and my sister's digital camera, and then i started to take some pictures of me holding the broom. i edited it, and i implemented it on Heretic. and the result is a broom that replaces the staff. it's time to clean this mess up!

  8. Doom face -> Man version 2.1

    Replaces the status bar face with a tiny picture of the Doom marine.

    MAN1.WAD is for single player Dooming, as the player being simply a scaled-down version of the sprite. MAN.WAD is more complex, and is designed for multi-player, as the player's uniform color changes to whatever color uniform yours is.

    STBAR.WAD is included to let your try out MAN.WAD single-player. It is in a seperate WAD, as otherwise it might mess up other peoples status bars. To use it, type doom2 -file man.wad stbar.wad

  9. Corrupted Dreams

    Okay... I hereby declare this to be my LAST DeHackEd-based weapons mod I'm ever going to make. Why? Because, DECORATE based weapons are finally here (and I mean it this time... I have a whole other mod finished using that system, but I can't release it yet due to the DECORATE weapon system only being available in a hacked version of Zdoom. DECORATE weapons WILL be available in the next official release, so I have to wait for that before I can release that mod.)

    So therefore, seeing that this is my last DEHACKED mod, I've made this one as BIG as possible (big as in good as well, heh. The last time I said that a weapons mod was going to be my final Dehacked one was for Pyromaniac, and we all know how bad that wad turned out to be. :P)

    So, let's see: we've got 17 new weapons this time, ranging from stuff like Slag Cannons, Tri-missile launchers, Corkscrew Laser Cannons, and the ever-popular Mobile Defense Turret. Basically, it's the largest (I think) weapon mod ever created for Zdoom, and I have to say that it's pretty damn good as well. It's slightly overpowered, so it's best to use it on stuff like Hell Revealed or Alien Vendetta. :P

    Alright, here is Byron, another fucked up name by someone who has insomnia to do this shit. Anyways, this was is somewhat unbalanced ( I tried balancing with the weapon bob to make it harder to aim the gun, if you start to get sick, stop playing and rest for a bit, then continue), so if you want to use the guns to the fullest potential, play it with a hard set of levels. I reccommend playing this on UV in either DV or Plutonia. And if your having problems trying to get it to work, search for ESL and look around, and while my mods still sucks a bit, it's at least better than CT-Dos and a hell of a lot better than crap mod. Alright, time for the guns:

    Key 1: Yep, the boot from CT-dos is back, same click per kick too, alongside with a double edged chainsaw. The chainsaw is a little faster too.

    Key 2: You got a basic pistol which is a little faster than the next key two weapon, and you even get a rifle to begin with! It shoots two bullets at a time, is better than the pistol powerwise, and it's got pin-point accuracy!

    Key 3: You get the tri-barrel shotgun, which can kill a cyberdemon IN 6 SHOTS if your pretty close, but it has a big kick, wide spread, slower than the D2 SSG, you must click after each shot, and it takes 3 rounds per shot. The other gun is an auto shotgun called the sprayer striker, which is named after spray for helping me. It's basically less powerful than the tri-barrel, has more compact spread, and takes 1 sheel per shot with an adverage amout of kick.

    Key 4: On this key, there is a MAC-11 and the Venis Limiter. The MAC 11, while very fast, has a pretty high kick and has a high spread, so use it in close quarters; these are dropped by adverage zombiemen. The Venis Limiter has an adverage speed, and a pumped up power, but has a bit of a high kick and it's two rounds per shot.

    Key 5: I like to call this the stargate pack. There are three guns on this pack, the stargate, osiris, and anubis. The anubis is basically a weakend rocket launcher that is automatic with adverage kick (and it shoots fireballs!), the osiris is a super charged plasma shot. It's slow, has an unbeliveably large kick, a click per shot, and takes 20 rounds per blast, but it's power is so unbelivable. Finally the last gun is the Stargate, a sevearly weakend BFG that is fully auto, tracers and all. It makes up for it's power just by it's pure speed. But the kick is very high, and can even make you dizzy.

    Well, here we are again. Another generic weapons mod. But this time I experimented with a bit of coding. Oh and it's much harder this time around (due to most weapons being clicked and me pumping the hell knytes health to an evel 1500. And the names arn't changed either. Next time will be much better though.

    Key 1: 1 handed guns-There's a slow firing, click after each shot revolver that has a spread (?) And a normal glock.

    Key 2: Power weapons- We got the good ol sawed off, this time a little slower and click per shot like the revolver, and the Thumper which pumps out missles with a thump sound to them.

    Key 3: Speed weapons- You get a nifty two handed auto pistol that, while faster than the chaingun, is more innacurate. And then you have the rotator, it shoots a little slower than the plasma rifle.

    Key 4: All mighty weapons of pwn- You got the strongest close up weapon in the game, which is now bloody, rusty, and faster! Also you have a BFG that costs 50 to shoot, is slower, and click per shot.

    key 5: The boot-It's a boot, faster than the fists, but it's click per shot.

    And why in the hell is it named dos?

    Perhaps the most unique movement in weapon mods these days is the "theme" mod. It started off with Immoral Conduct's focus on "real-world" weapons, continuing with wads like LowTech Weapons, Operation Mjolnir, and others. I've carried the idea further - nearly every weapon in this WAD file (barring your foot and Glock pistol) is energy-based. Blaster pistols, wave guns, and the Helix Cannon are only a few of the AA-powered flesh-sizzlers you'll come across here.

  16. DSV 3 patch for ZDoom 2.0.93+

    Becuase I was bored I made a patch that allows the WARALLIES.WAD patch for DSV 3 to wokr properly with ZDoom. Includes new sprites so you can diffrentiate between normal monsters and their friendly counter parts.

  18. Gravity Gun

    I was browsing the ZDoom forums when I saw people adamantly stating that you could never make anything like the gravity gun in ZDoom. So I made one.

    It works more or less just like the HL2 gravity gun. "Pick up / drop" defaults to E and "shoot" is bound to "R" although you can change it in the options.

  20. Rifles with Bawls

    A weapons set by me that started out as experimenting with a few DEHACKED tricks, then evolved into something more. I call it "Rifles with Bawls" because there are about 5 rifle like weapons in it(like half the guns), and I replaced the health bonuses with Bawls bottles. I ripped and touched up the sprite myself, but I am too lazy to clean it up any further. :P

  24. Commandos! Doom

    Commandos! Doom is a weapons mod for EDGE 1.28a. The basic goal I had in mind while making this was to replace most, if not all of the weapons and add a few new ones into Doom. I decided to keep the number of weapons small, around 10 or so, and make sure that all the weapons were useful or balanced in some way. To keep the arcade like feeling of the original Doom weapons, I decided not to make the weapons reload. Most of the weapon graphics come from other sources.

    The name for this mod was sort of random, but also slightly absurd. What weapons would the player have used if he was a Commando? Would he still use the same weapons or even come across the mighty BFG 9000, or would his superiors supply him with all new weapons?

    Anyway, I hope you enjoys using these weapons! RIP AND TEAR!

    Please Note: This mod should work with the original Doom, but you won't be able to use the Double Midget SMGs unless you cheat. Also, you are welcome to use any of the graphics in this .wad as long as you credit any of the sources listed in READTHIS.txt

      I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

      Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression.       A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

      Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

      I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
