  1. OMG Weapons! (and Monsters) v2

The best weapons mod you'll ever see. Scroll down for more details.

As for the update, I reduced the health of most of the monsters (zombies and imps in particular) and reduced the damage of various monster attacks.

    *** 2011 UPDATE ***

Hey cool RandomSpawner now exists in DECORATE, everything finally works as it should have been the whole time! WEAPONS STAY IN MULTIPLAYER, THERE ARE NO BUGS WITH ExM8/MAP07

    IT ALSO WORKS WITH SKULLTAG

Also I "enabled" (as in actually adding it to KEYCONF) the Homing Rocket Launcher that was hidden in the DECORATE lump since it works great in DM, but it's pretty useless in SP.

  2. RSL and Zero Tolerance

many of those who are reading this now will argue that a modification like 'Zero Tolerance' needs no extras whatsoever - it's just perfect. True, but have you tried facing HR-style hordes of demons with this set? I did, and you can call me wimp or DOOM-llama, but that's when I realized this jewel lacked a truly powerful, effective, ultimate weapon. And so I decided to stay true to the original author indications, by adding to Infinity what Zero Prophet always wanted to: ... a black-hole-style suction effect! ... I also took the liberty of integrating a new, more bulky blood system together with a few touchups on a couple monster projectiles. This is my humble homage to this monster of an arsenal - may you enjoy it!

  3. Weasel Presents: NAZIS! (WWHC: Axis & Abaddon)

Nazis, nazis, and more nazis. This mod replaces ALL Doom 2 enemies with SS, Afrika Korps, and other Wolfenstein-inspired (but not directly recreated) enemies, as well as new World War 2-era weaponry. I recommend playing with Epic2.

  4. zhhah Beast

This is a monster I made for TheDarkArchon's 20th anniversary. I decided to touch up on the decoorate code and release it to the public since I care about the loyal public. I'm starting to feel that my fruits of labor are in doubt by the Domm community. Nevertheless, I will not stop making and releasing awesome monster wads until they run out on my harddrive. Don't worry; that means it'll last four years :D Needless to say, TheDarkArchon absolutely loves this custom monster, so I'm sure you'll too.

  5. Salopio Beast

In Doom, monsters are the norm. That's for sure. But what's not the norm are a couple other monsters. This here foe falls under that second category. Beware: this demon may go down in just a few shotgun blasts, but don't think its attacks don't make up for that. Its noisy and irritable nature makes it one of the most feared of the feared. Man up, Doom Maroon, if you're going to fight this creature, you better cock your arms into (excited) ready mode. I <3 40OZ

  10. Adventures of Salvo Jettison, or "The Quest" (for Weight Watching)

when renowned mercenary Salvatore "Salvo" Jettison accepted a new job from a mysterious organization called UAC, it all seemed like a great bargain - they would supply everything, from brand new weapons and ammunition, to a plethora of minor benefits. What they didn't tell him until too late: first, he was going to fight against the netherworld, and second, they wouldn't have supplied him with the legendary everything-carrying space suit all marines had had so far...

  11. Tactical Chainsaw, Pistol Start Enforcer and Stocked Player

A collection of 3 tiny files I've put together. Two of them are useful for having altered playstyles, the tactical chainsaw is just for the fun of it.

TacticalChainsaw.wad - Swaps the Chainsaw out for a Tactical Chainsaw, which functions as the normal chainsaw (unless it doesn't have a blade), but the alternate fire launches the blade as a low-gravity affected ripper projectile doing 40 base-damage. Designed as a powerful last ditch tool to get yourself out of a tight spot. Ammo is limited, and there's not that many chainsaws laying around in your standard Doom map in any case, so be careful when you use it. You can reuse the blades if you collect them again, though the reload is quite slow.

PistolStartEnforcer.wad - Swaps the rarely played NIGHTMARE! difficulty for a UV Pistol Starts difficulty, which is the same as Ultra Violence, but you start each map afresh with a pistol-only start.

StockedPlayer.wad - Starts the Doom player off with all weapons, a backpack and some ammo for each weapon - mostly intended for those co-op sessions where loading a saved game won't work for some reason, but you can remember which map you were on. Obviously best for difficult maps.

  13. Shinobi

after wasting the lives of many soldiers that proved unsuitable for their missions, Earth Defense Forces decided to revert to a class of ancient and fearsome warriors, equipped with old and trustworthy weapons, but also with new and prototypical ones tailored specifically for the occasion. Will you be able to honor the way of a SHINOBI?

** NOTE ** for the first time in my creations, I am ditching reload altogether. Enjoy arcade style! ;-)

  14. Doomguy's FORCED and PAINFUL Chocolate Shotgun.

Doomguy gains a special attack by using special super laxative pills, which cause his behind to violently erupt with the power of 4 SSG blasts, at the cost of some of his health. Great as a closer quarters surprise weapon! Compatible with all Doom games (using ZDoom 2.5.0 and later).

  16. RSL's Agent Diaz Patch

"Agent Diaz" is surely a very appreciated modification, and for good reason. ))))))))))) However, ever since tasting its updated version (wwhcdiaz.zip) for the first time I felt Olivia's arsenal - despite the excellent additions - was becoming a bit overcomplicated, thus losing its special purity (*) and consistency. This addon of mine tries to fix the little inaccuracies of the original version, by integrating at the same time a set of modern features and balance fixes. This should revamp it for single player, also with its modernized sequel(s) around.

(*) play on words ABSOLUTELY intended!

  18. Russian Arsenal REVISED

The REVISED version of RA presents 4 times better sprites, revised weapons, realistic automatic fire and several tweaks in terms of firespeed, accuracy and firepower. Check WHAT'S NEW IN REVISED section below 'What is included' section.

This mod is COMPATIBLE WITH BEAUTIFUL DOOM v. 5.0 (or newer, NOT OLDER), but it doesn't require it, Russian Arsenal can work standalone as well. As the title implies, it's just a set of Russian firearms. And they don't look too hot. But they work. But note, that weapons with low accuracy CAN NOT be used for sniping, because low accuracy applies to each and every shot, including the first one (unlike usually in Doom), except AK-74 (its single shots are accurate). Check weapdesc.txt for more information. There's also detailed description of the guns inside DECORATE lump in the wad.

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b
