  2. LMP CoUNTeR VeRsioN 1.0

You're playing a DOOM deathmatch against your friend. This time, you're really going to kick him for good. This is the first time you have the chance to do it. Your score looks something like 25 to 25, and you're very happy about the fact that you're just about to find your weaponless friend. You're also glad to have had the idea of recording a demo, which will allow you demonstrate, in the near future, that you're able to kick that DOOM god.

But as you locate your ennemy's precise location and start shooting at him, DOOM crashes back to DOS! It indicates "Demo kickfrag.LMP recorded".

"Damn, why did this happened?! I was just going to get hold on him! Why?!? Oh, yeah... eheh... I did not put a large demo buffer! But how could I know that this was not big enough????", you think to yourself.

Some moments after, the phone rings. Probably your friend calling to personnally congratulate you on a great mistake...

But now, using LMP Counter, this will not occur anymore! LMP Counter will allow you to calculate how much kilobytes (KB) are required to be used to get a specific amount of gameplay time! All this, only relating to the number of players! And more good news, this works with all the alone, cooperative, deathmatch and deathmatch 2.0 play modes! Imagine how this little utility could be useful when planning to record a network demo (which tend to grow large very rapidly!)

    Get LMP Counter now! :-)

  3. CHGDSG 1.1

CHanGeDSG allows you to modify your DOOM executive file (normally DOOM.EXE or DOOM2.EXE) so that it will be using other DSG files than DOOMSAV?.DSG.

This is very useful if you have several different PWADs or EXE patches and you saved your games in PWAD maps. Normally, DOOM will crash when loading a wrong savegame (requiring a PWAD).

CHGDSG 1.1 will solve your problems: Just copy your DOOM.EXE / DOOM2.EXE and modify the copy with CHGDSG! Every copy will now use its own DSG files while DOOM.EXE / DOOM2.EXE still loads the standard DOOMSAV?.DSG files. No more confusion, no more crashing ... :-)

  5. HEXED: HEXEN Save Game Editor v1.1

HEXED is a HEXEN save game editor. As of now, I know very little about the save game file in itself, therefore, very little can be edited. All HEXED does is give you every weapon, and 865 of blue and green mana. It also gives you every item, yes all 15, even if you cannot use that item. HEXED gives you 99 of each item.

  6. dm2edit.zip

This program will edit Doom II savegames for weapons, ammo and keys to maximum values. You can also select God Mode and Full Area Map. The program will edit single and 2 player savegames. If a 2 player game is detected, both players will be edited with the same selections. The only reason I didn't provide for 3 and 4 player savegames, is that I don't have access to a Network in order to determine file locations for the remaining 2 player options. If anyone can E-mail me "clean" (no cheat codes edited) 3 and 4 player savegames, I will incorporate them into the program. I also found that when I attempted to edit the other artifacts, the savegames would error.

  14. DOOM STACKED UTILITY

DSTACKED is a utility for customizing your DOOM savegames. With this program you can tailor the amount "goodies" a player possesses. You can give a player any weapons, any number of rounds (up to 65,535), armor, keys, light amplification goggles, berserk, map, radiation suit, invulnerability, and "ghost" attributes. Weapons, rounds and invulnerability last for all levels afterward; all other goodies have the duration of a single level. So who cares if the nightmare setting is unfair; get stacked and kick butt!

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
