GtkRadiant source code
By Guest
Following last summer's release of Quake III Arena source code and tools under the GPL license, id is now placing GtkRadiant and q3map2 under GPL license. We are also providing in this release a number of Quake II tools that never made it under GPL when we packaged Quake II source code.
GtkRadiant [1] is the heavily modified version of QERadiant and Q3Radiant ( id's level editors used during Quake II and Quake III Arena development ). It runs on Microsoft Windows platforms, GNU/Linux, MacOS X, and supports level editing for many id technology games [2].
A tarball of the initial release is available from our ftp server [3], and the development website [4] now holds a subversion repository with the GPL code. We expect development on the editor to continue as usual, and hope that many new developers will join us [5] :-)18 downloads

Quake III Arena GPL source release
By Guest
While we made sure we were still able to compile the game on Windows, GNU/Linux and Mac, this build didn't get any kind of extensive testing so it may not work completely right. Whenever an id game is released under GPL, several projects start making the source code more friendly to nowaday's compilers and environements. If you are picking up this release weeks/months/years after we uploaded it, you probably want to look around on the net for cleaned up versions of this codebase as well.44 downloads

Wolfenstein 3D source code
By Guest
We are releasing this code for the entertainment of the user community. We don't guarentee that anything even builds in here. Projects just seem to rot when you leave them alone for long periods of time.
This is all the source we have relating to the original PC wolfenstein 3D project. We haven't looked at this stuff in years, and I would probably be horribly embarassed to dig through my old code, so please don't ask any questions about it. The original project was built in borland c++ 3.0. I think some minor changes were required for later versions.
You will need the data from a released version of wolf or spear to use the exe built from this code. You can just use a shareware version if you are really cheap.53 downloads
