  1. firstmap.zip

This map is my very first attempt at mapping. I made it somewhere back in 2009, a couple of months after Doom Builder 2 came out. Its a typical tech base map but its very short.

  2. The Darkness and the Light

This is one of the first maps I created, but is still one worth playing. There are large outside areas, dark inside torture chambers, and a few nasty traps.

  3. The Darkness Of Evil

An almost full episode of challenging & fun (I hope) levels. These took me a danged long time to write and playtest, so I hope you appreciate them. Please play them on Ultra-Violence. Read levels.txt for a description of each individual level. Pkunzip LMP.ZIP for the LMP files.

  4. Deimos Immaculated

Episode 2 themed techbase level without hell's corruption, hence the name "immaculated"

I've tried to emulate the great work of Tom Hall and Sandy Petersen in shores of hell with a personal touch.

I've always thought that fortress of mistery was just plain hell and I've felt the need of making an apropriate secret level for shores of hell following its theme.

In desing map10, refueling base of Doom II would have fit very well as a E2M9 level if they wouldn't have rejected and reused it for Doom II

This is a true E2 level, with lots of ick, shawn, compohso, cement and vine textures and it has an organic and non linear desing as well as a good interconnection.

It's doable form pistol start, but you better run and get the chainsaw :)

  6. Deimos Deja Vu

Updated version, now fully vanilla compatible. Some major and minor changes in most levels, most noticeable in E2M2. First released 7/10/10, DDVU is a nine-level replacement for Ultimate Doom's episode two. This wad set aims to keep the spirit and style of the old Shores of Hell similar, while keeping things fresh with new places, ideas and increased difficulty. Coop and deathmatch are supported with spawns and multiplayer weapons, but DM is untested.

  7. EDEN.WAD

This level is the result of countless hours and many late nights of working, working, working and re- working the map to get it right (as you DOOM editors know, DEU5.0 can be very uncooperative!). Anyway, I think this level has that "id" feel to it. I really consider it an extension of the original game rather than "my" level. I'm sure all will enjoy playing it. As of this version of EDEN there are NO HOM effects & NO screwie textures. I have painstakingly concealed secret passages and made this level challenging to play. Please play it first before extracting the secrets mechanically. Well, there's trouble in paradise, Go clean house! Three cheers for senseless violence!! :)

  11. Maps From Memory

A bit more than an episode's worth of recreations of Doom's e1m1, "Hanger", all of which were made entirely from memory. There isn't much new gameplay here, or stunning new visuals, but if you think it might be interesting to see what different Doom community members can remember about the map where It All Started, then... check this out!

Here it is; the second demo of the Flashback megawad. Designed in the spirit of the original levels, with doom.exe compatibility. Hope you'll enjoy playing the levels as much as we enjoyed making them. Next release will be the final wad.

There are four maps; One from each episode:

    E2M1 By Espi. (E1M4) E2M2 Esselfortium & Espi (E2M2) E2M3 Torn & Esselfortium. (E3M3) E2M4 By SlayeR (E4M5)

My first ever DooM level created with DE_260B2. It replaces Episode 1 Level 1 of DooM. It is made for solo players only (not configured for multi-player mode---there is no level difficulty either.). There are no annoying traps or mazes, just minor obstacles (nothing to worry about).

  15. ZEUS.WAD

The ZEUS Level is a showpiece for what can be achieved with a colour scanner and a little (ha!) patience. Not a technically stunning level design-wise, but a good taster of things-to-come when other people pick up the idea of new textures seriously. Music score not composed by anyone, Graphics and original idea by yours truly, and WAV sound effects by Nic Dyde at the Post Cafe, rue de Bern, Geneva.

  17. Dead Zone

"Dead Zone" is a new episode that replaces Episode 2 (just because of the music and sky). This is my first single-player episode and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it.

    Map 1 - Outpost Map 2 - Recieving Map 3 - Server Bank Map 4 - The Spiral Map 5 - Dead Zone Map 6 - The Sewers Map 7 - Power Plant Map 8 - Gateway to Earth Map 9 - Teleporter Research

Probably a little short but time wasn't my concern. I played through it and it seems to flow nicely. Map 3 isn't as serious as the others just because I wanted it to go with the music (Doom 3 inspired it). Also, in map 9, shoot the brown-metal line in the Cacodemon room to lower a teleporter. Don't jump into the pit because you can't escape it.

  18. Doom: Awesome, Episode 1

Remember episode 1, the original? Remember how simple it is? Simple architecture, simple detail, simple puzzles. That's what made all of the original episodes KICK ASS. For years people took this single episode, a monument to the perfection of gameplay, and tried to replicate it. For a while it was enough. Not anymore. Nowadays, the only acceptable type of Doom wad is the kind that feels as little like Doom as possible. But when it gets to that point... who the hell cares about Doom? Why mod for a game which people still play for its simplicity if what you're going to try to accomplish is make it seem as modern as possible? Why mod for Doom, of all games? Well, whatever. I can't do anything about it. But I can make something. Here is a set of nine simple, but fun levels. Hopefully they will hold some feeling of nostalgia, as well as serve as a reminder of why we love Doom.

thank you for downloading my doom wad file.

where should i start? this wad is my first upload to a bbs system. this level is pretty complex (but if you're a stud i guess it's no problem) with a sh*tload of switches, rises, airducts, invisable walls, toxic crap, and other things hazardous to your health. so don't be discouraged if you can't find what is activated by what switch or trigger.

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
