  2. Commando Mission 1 (3 fortress)

Note!!! This level is for deathmatch only. Your mission is to take over all three main buildings, and kill every other military personel. Unfortunately all the other commandos have the same intructions. Commando mission 1 is very tight and compact wad map. And it has plenty of action even with -nomonsters parameter There are no secret or hidden places, and all weapons are available. But remember, there are only one way to restore your health, a single supercharge in the middle of central square.

  3. Lost in Paris / Death Match version

A pack of two levels, only made for Death Match. You wanted a place where you could have some fun fighting each other, I hope you got it! This is a sequel of a PWAD I still haven't released (should be out by the end of the month), with the sounds, graphics, and music removed. Thus, this PWAD is sort of a pre-release ;-)

I spent a week on the first level, and just about two hours on the second. Tell me what you think of the "frag while flying" effect :-)

I made the music of level two on my own, using an AWE32, a GUS, a Roland Keyboard, and Cakewalk Apprentice. It is inspired by Two Unlimited's euro-hit: No Limit. May their new album be as succesful as the previous :-D

  4. Commando Training Camp

Note!!! This level is for deathmatch only. Commando training camp is very tight and compact wad map. There are many one sided walls (for neat ambush places), high walls to walk on and narrow underground passages to crawl. But remember, just when you think you found the perfect ambush place, someone else shoots you from the back. There are many ways to get in one place in case someone blocks the other way. All the weapons are available, yes the plasmagun and BFG9000 are possible to get. If you think you get stuck in the balcony, try pushing the railing. Try pushing everywhere to find out extra goodies. There are few secret teleports for quick transport. Although this is rather small map, as deathmatch levels should be, it requires fast machine to run smoothly. This map includes special autotimer feature which automaticly sets limit for playing time. Timer is one deathmatch starting point, where are stairs to exit button. All stairs are teleports to back to game, but they work only once, so after all stairs have been used the only way out is exit button.

  5. Lurker's Paradise

NOTE- I designed this with -ALTDEATH in mind, but it should still be fun in normal mode.
This WAD is the culmination of everything that my victims .. uh, I mean my friends and I wanted to see in a DEATHMATCH level. Lots of running room, large open circular rooms with wide twisty halls connecting them. Great sniping positions, and many LURKING spots. (I am a lurker at heart) There are no "safe" spots, no matter where you are you can be snuck up on. Everyone gets the shotgun and chaingun right off the bat, since they make for the best battles. The rocket launcher and the pulse rifle are there, but you will find they are very dificult to aquire without taking a lot of damage. NO BFG. Any way just down-load it and have fun.

  6. Kill.wad

There are no monsters, no poison pits, and 2 people must work together to reach the exit.

The map is based on the Student center and pub at U.C.I.

  9. LEDGES2.WAD

This patch file is for E1M1. This is the sequal to LEDGES.WAD. It is basically the same as LEDGES.WAD, but it has a different layout, and some new tricks to get the weapons. Again, the level is designed for deathmatch play, and doesnt function well under normal or co-operative mode. The plasma rifle is nicely placed and should cause havoc in your first few matches.

  10. Just Another Death Match Level E1M1

I threw this one together in a quick hour, it's a good low level Deathmatch level (shotgun, chainsaw & chaingun) very limited ammo, and only the shotguns are sticky :) I haven't tried it multi-player (yet), so there may be a few bugs with multi play.

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
