  1. SCOTDOC1.WAD

This is my first real pwad, however I have practiced. This wad makes you think, at the same time requires skill at the trigger. A perfect combination. There are a few techniques which I have yet to see in other wads, including a unique ending. Please, email any comments or suggestions to me. In order to complete this level on ultra-violence on your FIRST try with no cheats you must be an extremely experienced player with a lot of luck. Good Luck.

  2. TRIANGLE.WAD ver 1.2

Deathmatch wad. Small, intense. Lot's of little gadgets and holes to have fun in. Layout is based on a giant triangle, with many other polygons thrown in. This wad is perfect for two person combat.

  3. Shiprock (deathmatch version)

This level is a replica of the Rose Pauson residence (Shiprock) designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Both floors are accessible, connected by a transport mechanism. I'm still looking for a way to turn off the sound, but for now consider it a feature, not a bug.

This new version DOES allow death- match play. Simply start the game on Ultra-violence or Nightmare level and all the stuff will be there. No monsters are present at any skill level.

  4. SunGod 1.0

SunGod is a *very* large level created with DEU 5.21 GCC, BSP 1.2x, REJECT 1.0, MIDI2MUS & DMMUSIC. The architecture is creative & eclectic. You'll find all the weopons (eventually) and all the baddies to use them on. SunGod replaces E1M1 and supports all modes of play & skill levels, but due to it's size & detail, may be chunky on slower machines. 50-100Mhz reccommended.

  5. The Scorpio Project, Act 1 (scorpio1.wad)

You've cleaned up the mess left by the Military's secret projects on Phobos and Deimos. With this victory, the hellish invasion seems to have been thwarted.

Unfortunately, the Military was engaged in another project in the vicinity of Mars: codenamed Project Scorpio. The goals of the project were to acquire samples of alien microorganisms that existed in the vacuum of space. No significant discoveries are known to have been made by this project.

However, one of the satellites used to scoop samples recently passed close to the Martian moons. After the Scorpio base recovered the satellite for examination, chaos broke out and communications with the base cut off. A trouble- shooter sent to assess the situation disappeared. Apparently demons from one of the moons stowed away aboard the satellite and migrated to the Scorpio base. Your mission is to exterminate all of the hellish creatures and destroy the satellite.

You have been issued only a pistol because the Scorpio base is known to have a substantial armory on the first level in its Blue security area. Access from level one downwards to level eight is available via a series of lifts. Note that the path downwards is intentionally circuitous so that sections of the base could be quarantined if any dangerous life forms escaped. Finally, note that there are many security pads located throughout the base. Some must be activated in order to achieve the higher-security areas, but others were designed to redirect intruders and expose them to security personnel. Use caution throughout.

Play is very nonlinear. You can win several different ways, but some are substantially easier than others. In coop mode, do not make the mistake of going separate ways...watch your buddy's back!

  6. The Big Temple

You are entering the big temple of DOOM. This is the second and last version of TEMPLE

After some reviews, I changed some rooms, added some others...

I think it's a good single player WAD. It couls be a good Cooperative WAD ('cause I think it's a little harder than ID levels), but an experimented DM player said me it was too big to make a good DM WAD.

I enjoyer to build it... Hope you'll enjoy play it...

Thanx. (and excuse me for my bad english...)

  7. STRaNGe

This was just a WAD I was playing with while I was reviewing a number of WAD editors. It is not designed to be in the least bit clever. It does, howver, have one remarkable feature. There is a room in which all the 'baddies' turn into nice guys, and refuse to attack either you, or each other! If they are outside the room, they will shoot you, while you are in the room, and you can happily blast their nuts off. A side effect of all this is that barrels refuse to explode with their normal vehemence, and do not kill or injure passers by.

  9. STAIRWAR

A single room map, with all of the weapons, and tons of ammo, and a whole horde of monsters. A pretty big challenge for a player to finish (the beginning is pretty rough) in a single-player game, but I can do it, so you should be able to as well! =O). I've never tried it with > 2 players... It's kind slow with multiple players until you kill off most of the monsters, and then the speed improves (this is on 486-66 Mhz machines with 128Kb cache) The theme: The world's longest marble staircase!

To play this wad file, run: doom -file stairwar.wad

If you can't solve the level, I've included a demo of me solving it (stairwar.lmp). Only look at it as a last resort, it spoiles everything! To play the demo, run: doom -playdemo stairwar -file stairwar.wad

  10. Test 2 Kill (Saten's Training Grounds)

Your orders are to infiltrate and destroy Saten's inner-city training fortress. All of Saten's forces are trained here.

As you make your way from the watch tower to each building you will not only encounter some training in progress but might actually find yourself going through some of Saten's tests.

Keep a watchful eye for the exit code. You need it to exit alive!!

Remember that things are not always what they seem and if a situation seems calm then you're in for a big suprise.

Lights Off! Volume Up! and May God be with you!!

  13. Satan's Lair v1.0

You're trapped in Satan's home turf. He watches you as you struggle to find a way out and he laughs at all your attempts to escape. At every turn, his band of ghoulish fiends try to make your stay as unwelcome as possible. And finally, if you live to reach the end, you will confront Satan himself along with all his minions worshipping him at his altar. Can you overcome the onslaught of evil, the over- whelming numbers of hellish demons and monsters, and Mr. Evil himself: Satan? Come, find out for yourself. Step into Satan's Lair. |-(

Well having that said, I made this wad file for blood and guts shoot 'em ups. You'll find all the weapons and ammo you need plus a lot of other goodies to fight all those hellspawn critters. Because this file is a little on the hefty side, you can't save any part of the wad file. But it's a do-able level if you pace yourself and take note of where all the goodies are. So kick some hellspawn ass and enjoy! :-)

  16. Space Marine Training Facility

The leaders of the Federation anticipating the possibility of an assult by the Denziens of Hell have constructed a training facility. The facility has been stocked with all weapons and plenty of ammo to train a marine in the use of various firepower. The Federation has also simulated, to the best of their knowledge, various beasts. Little is known about the creatures, so there might be more formidable foes awaiting in the real attack. The facitlity was built on the premise that 4 marines could simulate battle with each other, because the limited knowledge of the beasts makes for them to be rather predictable opponents.

  21. SKYCITY.WAD

Well, this is my second attempt at a pwad. I think this one is a little better than my first attempt (which wasn't that bad - toot toot!! :) SKYCITY is just that - A semi-city stuck 1 mile high in the sky. I created new textures to simulate the effect. It has all new wall textures in it as well as a new sky/floor ...blah blah.....

But, PLEASE, run the SKYCITY.BAT file so that you can temporarily put the floor textures into your DOOM.WAD file (yeah, sorry - Can't put new floors into pwads). But, the batch file takes care of it and will restore the original floors when you're done. Back it up if you don't trust me :) I included a .lmp just in case you get a little PO'd trying to find the secrets (They aren't that hard, anyway...)

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
