Description : This is my second released WAD, and is my latest
attempt at a level. It's a short single player map only,
and I have no plans to make it a Death Match map. It's
only intended for people who want a quick challenging
blast without too many special effects.
Story : You're a worker in a military research centre codenamed
UAC. Your job is simply to analyse samples given to you
in your laboratory, and then send the results to some
other lab monkeys next door. It's all pretty dull, and
your only highlight is seeing the armed guards posted
at station seventeen of the underground railway. It's in
there that the real top secret stuff happens, and you
hope to be posted their soon to see some real action.
It was when you was approaching station seventeen that
it all began, starting with a couple of brown outs. The
lights dimmed slightly, but it was nothing out of the
ordinary. You fancied that you could here a dulled
explosion off in the distance somewhere, drowned by
hundreds of metres of thick concrete. Then the power went
off totally, emersing you in complete darkness. The train
carried on under it's own momentum, and stopped right
outside station seventeen. You half expected the guards to
arrest you, incase you were some kind of spy planning the
whole happy coincidence. Instead there was no-one there.
the train lights came back on, but there was no power for
the tracks. You decided that you'd have to go inside the
station and get help to fix the train, so you picked up your
pistol and blue access key and headed to the train door...
What Really happended : ** WARNING ** ONLY READ THIS AFTER PLAYING THE MAP **
After you played the map, read this then play it again. That
way you may understand the little details etc I included.
1. The power out for the tracks was caused by the hellspawn
inside the power conduit next to the train. Open the wall
(secret) and you'll find them.
2. The base was overun by the hellspawn which came from the
crashed ship outside. It only recentley landed (you heard the
boom) so the ground is still red-hot.
3. There is a gateway to hell which the marines were defending
to stop the hellspawn gaining a foothold in our world. You
took this to the 'other side' where you shut down the gateways
power source. (That's what that whole machine thing was in
hell.)
4. You took all the higher access keys from the bodies of the
other commanders of the base, and you can see how bravely they
were defending themselves by the amount of hellspawn corpses
littering the floor!
5.There are a couple of secrets in this map if you know where
to look!
Additional Credits : That guy who makes DOOMCAD, though I use the brilliant
WAD Authour now.

To play this PWAD file, unzip it into the directory where you put
DOOM 2, then start DOOM 2 like this:
DOOM2 -FILE MEAT2.WAD
Then play a new game.

Known Bugs : Not enough special effects... No really! I may add some
stuff later on. Otherwise no bugs.

You may distribute this file in any electronic format (BBS, Diskette, CD, etc.) as long as you include these files intact.
