Misc. Author Info :
Description : This level tries to recreate the good atmosphere
of the novel, without adding new textures. I know I
should have included an Opera feel instead of a cheap
cinema, but I lost the first map and didn't want to rework it.
There are some tricks in this level that I recently learned. The
exit labels on the opera, for example. Or the horizontal scroll effect
on the organ, made without NWT. :-)
There are three secret areas on the level. Try to find them before
using cheats or editing the level, as they are fun to hunt.
PD: After you get the red skull key, run!!! 0:-)

* Game Story *
You were called to investigate an accident on the Opera during the Don John
Triumphant rerun, the best work of Erik, a mysterious composer. He was
known for dressing black and wearing a white mask o his face: the phantom
mask. Erik was shooted and thought dead 200 years ago, after he tried to kidnap
the main artist.
The hanging lamp fell of during the representation, killing a woman who was
watching the Opera. It looks like we have a Copy Cat. There is also all this
mystery surrounding the steal of the phantom mask, which was held in a
crystal repository at entrance. Now you, Raoul Dusentier, must seek that mad
man and give an end to the murders.
*Game Info*
From time to time, you will find a key in this level. Those keys represent hints
that will help you to encounter the phantom. They will be in places where he
was involved during the accidents. One of them will take you to the hidden
undergrounds of the Opera, where he could be residing. You may also find the
phantom's small boat, a way to travel quickly around the undergrounds, though
it is not needed to finish the level.
The rest of the monsters on the Opera are there to add some emotion to the level.
Think of them as threats the phantom use against you.
