About This File

Twisted Dimension is the best of my works so far, and also the most creative. It's originally based off of my very old map Death Arena, in which you would enter a room and kill all of the monsters it contained to gain acess to the next room. I 'based' the first few rooms off of Death Arena, but then later started making it much more different. Also keep in mind that this map is somewhat linear, but I'm hoping you'll still enjoy it.

weird linear map with some arena-like combat, however I am unable to head over the exit trigger at the end.

Brings back memories. Tango went on to make stuff far better than this, but this is still good!

Tango: Stop making wads. All of the ones you've made so far suck.

Boring. Linear. Square-ish. Symmetrical. Flat. Annoying (at times). A couple of interesting traps not implemented very well and some nice visuals. Still only worth a generous 2/5 FP

I loved it. Void and Temple of Chaos are my favourite Wads, so this is quite similar. Nice atmosphere and gameplay. And the music was one of the greatest I have ever heard in wad. 5/5 -Damned

Hard to believe that at one point Tango considered this his best work... of course, it was six years ago, but still. It certainly has a nice atmosphere to it (not surprising considering the source of inspiration is void) and the visuals are... well, they're clean enough. The problem is that it's extremely flat and symmetrical. In turn, the gameplay becomes a chore. Enter room, kill monsters, walk through door, repeat. Eesh. He's come a long way since. 4/10 - Snakes

What FP said (heh, it fits most of Spork's old maps perfectly as well :P). Plus 2 other things: retarded use of instakill floors; very easy to break when you stand on a spawnspot and block a key monster from appearing. 1/5 - Belial

Very nice - I just wish it was a bit longer. :)

I like the animated sky and techno music as a mp3 style in the background. Am looking for something like that for my latest modded HUB level "Cowboy Six Gun Run".

This is great, don't listen to those that give bad feedback. It's a great way to test your ability as a doomer.

on one hand this map is great - nice to look at, atmospheric and really good ideas, on the other hand many fights are booring (and too tough) 3/5

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
