Review : This is a technically and visually most
impressive masterpiece.
In other words: OMG! OMG! OMG!
It is unfinished, but still a must-have.
Enjoy! :)

Title : Hellspawn
(Fragments of an unfinished DooM-addon)
Filename : hspawn.wad (four versions in different stages of
development, one of them called hspawn13.wad)
Release date : 05/08/04 MM/DD/YY
(Timestamp of the latest version)
Author : Mouse, a.k.a. LilWhiteMouse, a.k.a. LWM
Email Address : lilwhitemo@midmaine.com
Note by the uploader : These are some stages of a 'work-in-progress' of
a now abandoned project by LilWhiteMouse, who has
left the zdoom community. But these fragments are
so impressive, that they definetly deserve to be
archived.
This package contains four versions of the addon.
The beginning of the subfoldernames of this
package tell you their timestamp (= release
date?).
As you can see in the textfiles of the two older
versions, had LWM already intended to upload this
stuff to /idgames, but was always still looking
for more perfection. So, now is the stuff, where
it has to be.
I recommend, that you begin with the version in
the \05_08_2004_hspawn20 -directory.
But in the older versions is also a lot of stuff
(skipts, etc.), from what not only zdoom editing
newbies can learn from.
Other Files By Author : Chosen
Wolfen
Adessa (unfinished)
Gunsmith Cats: Russian Roulette
Bittersweet
Misc. Author Info : Former member of the zdoom forums communitiy.
Also contributor to FreeDooM.
Description : Stupid scientists found another way to give
another breed of hell access to our world. Some
of those beasts are well-known, but there is a
big mass of never before seen beasts that you
have to send back to their source.
Please read the *Hellspawn manual* at the end of
this file.
Additional Credits to : Mike Blakely for playtesting and gameplay
enhancements.

The review at the beginning of this template has been written by FunDuke.
Special thanks to MartinHowe, who uploaded two rare versions from his
private archives extra for me. It's included in this release. The other
versions have been undusted by Enjay, Biff and Bouncy in the zdoom forums.
(...Yup... there was one dublette, so there's a total of four, but i want
to thank you all :))
===========================================================================
The following is copied from the textfile of the 09/08/03 (MM/DD/YY)
-version odf the Hellspawn addon. So there is now more stuff (enemies etc.)
in the newest version from 05/08/04, but you will find that out quickly.

Hellspawn manual:
Corpse Worm
Grotesque creatures that feed off of dead flesh. If they feel their meal
is threatened, they can regurgitate and spit fleshy chunks.
Fallen
A six winged flying beast equiped with a rocket launcher strapped to it's
back. A Fallen will circle it's prey like a buzzard, making strafing runs
against it.
Hammer Hound
It's thick arms filled with fat to absorb the concussion from it's dual
shock hammers. It's quake will shatter your bones, so stand clear of it's
range.
Head Hunter
Easily identified by it's strangely formed head, the Head Hunter has only
one purpose: Search and Destroy. It's plasma guided proton shot is capable
of tracking it's designated target.
Panzer Demon
An odd physiology, the Panzer Demon's single toweering eye watches ever
vigilant. Fires a volley of three energy shots.
Scorpion Minion
Smaller then it's Arachnotron counter part, the Scorpion Minion mounts a
light machinegun on it's tail structure.
Shadow Psycho
Belonging to the Caco family, the SP fires a semi-homing volley of
telekinetic pulses. Upon death, it's telekinetic power is released
uncontrollably, damaging everything in it's immediate vincinity.
Telsa Imp
It's fireball proving too slow to be tactically effective, these Imps have
been implanted with a light railgun.
Bone Demon
A more evolved version of the Demon, these hulking beasts have massive bone
structures resembling shield on it's forearm. Due to their highly dense
bone structure, these "shields" are capable of deflecting any attack making
it invulnerable while raised.
Monster - X
The four nodes jutting from it's body are capable of producing immense
electrical fields. When directed, these nodes can create and fire a ball
lightning like shot.
Hell's Battery
The heavy support among Demons. The HB's arsenal puts even the
Cyberdemon's rocket launcher to shame. Also endowed with immense demonic
powers, the HB has many surpises in store for any unlucky oppenent.
Fishy
Originally fish, they have mutated from UACs toxic sludge dumping.
Spinal Demon
Lying dormant in the sub-surface of Hell, it awoke during Baphomet's final
death throes. Rising to take control of the forces of Hell, it awaited
its chance to again invade Earth. In preparation, the Spinal Demon sired
new hell spawn to supplement Baphomet's defeated forces.
Demon Blade
Carved from Baphomet's bone, the Demon Blade is a hand to hand weapon.
9mm Vulcan
Slightly faster and more powerful then the Chaingun.
Napalm Launcher
Useful against small groups, or large enemies at close/medium range.
BFG-Zero
In it's intial stage, the BFG-Zero fires a energy field that will envelope
it's target. But when upgraded to include it's plasma guidance suite, the
BFG shot is capable of homing multiple targets without line of site. While
not as powerful as the BFG 9000, the BFG-Zero requires less ammo per shot,
and has a much faster recycle rate.
Portable Medical Kit
Like the Medical Kit, it restores 25% health up to a max of 100%. The PMK
can be picked up and used at a later time however.
Blood Sphere
Inceases your Health by 25%, can exceed 100%.
Demon Armor
While your armor remains over 100%, the demon armor can slowly heal you up
to 100% health.
Rabidifier
When the Rabidifier hits an enemy, it will transform them into an undead
rabbit.
UAC Marine Berserker Beacon
When granted access, hitting the "Call Marine Berserker" key will drop a
teleport homing beacon. You then have 5 seconds to clear the area before
the Berserker transports in. Before each deployment, the Berserker is
injected with numerous performance enahancing drugs. Each use degrades the
Berserker's cellular stability, and increases the chance of the Berserker
going rogue. When a Berserkers stability reaches 0%, it is removed from
duty and disposed of.
There are also two additional keys in the controls menu that affect
performance. One will cycle the amount of rain generated, the other will
toggle the extra hud on/off.
