About This File

Do not underestimate your battle. Kohe 9 promise to deliver a shorley heated fight. Its a very good looking level with good enemie and powerups place locations. Some good looking crate. At the start there are two Baron which are much easier to kill then a normal Baron. This is level 9 of a 15 level series Im working on. My aim is to make better levels than my old levels. Im really trying onisley. I tried harder to make an archway as well and it looks okay too. Since level 9 of old Doom 2 was called the pit I wanted to made sure that this level has pit too!. The pit is the exit!

Competently made but very repetitive in terms of gameplay. Does anyone remember when barons of hell were special? They aren't any more. I was tempted to give this 4 stars simply because it's properly lit and textured, but there were so many interchangeable rock-textured rooms populated by crates, a few former humans and a hell knight that I began to get deja vu.

Nice oldskool action blast, but nothing too special. I guess it classifies as a "decent" Ruba level. 3/5

I liked it a little better than Kohe10. I somehow enjoy these Kohe maps because they are small, minimalistic and little fun to play for a while (when I am get tired by huge or hyperdetailed maps). Still 3/5 - Optimus

It's better than iD's DooM 2 levels.

This is actually not a bad map by Ruba. While there are some simmilar elements to the earlier Ruba maps there is virtually no copy and paste apart from some Crates. It also provides a bit of a challenge but I beat it first try and it would have been better if there was a bit less health, pehaps stimpacks instead of medikits would have given it a good challenge. In fact this map was fun to play but I recommend that you still avoid it if you are looking for something real good. 3 Stars -PC

It's okay. Nothing to get excited about even for the low effort that was put in.

Hmm, not too bad, which is fairly good comming from Ruba, but there is still absolutely no sign of any attempt to made a good level - Ruba seems happy spewing out maps that range from piss-poor to not too bad. Come on Ruba, try harder. 2/5

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
