I heard a lot of great things about Dylan but sadly never got the chance to meet a nice person like him I wish he was here with us now, it would be fun to be around someone like him. I feel bad for every single nice person who passed away... rest in peace Dylan (toke) hopefully we get to play doom together in heaven

Good for it's time. It's a shame that Toke passed away back in 2006.

I liked it - COOL - TOKE - for some maps, I like how they play with only a few players, while on other maps I like how they play with up to 16 players. Also, some maps are even fun in single player (with and without deaths, and sometimes reality).

This was fun back in the day, good if you like mindless blasting, copy pasta maps and some fun co-op 'hold the door' puzzles, but not your cup of tea if you like something with more depth - 3/5

These were the 1st set of custom levels I played when I made my way on to ZDaemon many years ago. Can be fun until some South Americans join the server. 4/5

This is very good, and the levels are much more clever than basically all of the other slaughter wads. Actual effort was put into this wad, and even if it was tragically left unfinished, what's in here is still a blast to play in coop. Used to play this on Skulltag a lot back in the day. 5/5

Haven't played it in coop (it's necessary in order to open some doors) but seems interesting 4/5 - optimus

gtt pays respect-way cool wad ,managed to cycle all 32 levels once or twice without dying once,(too keep bfg and own-made coop into personal survivor mode :) took 4 years or so to learn though :) prolly most popular coop wad of all time IMO in terms of player numbers and time spent by many playing it :X ;love ya bitches

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
