An attempt to see if I could make a decent vanilla map, I'm quite pleased with the result, it was tested with Doom95 so it should work with every port.

5-minutes level. As-is not bad, but in about all aspects a bit below average. Layout is short & simple, texture use and ambiance are standard, there's little decoration, and the gameplay @ UV is too far from exciting. After having played it, there was nothing I'd tagged as worth to remember. Overall: small 3* because author showed some skills.

A pretty average map from start to finish. The map is populated with fairly week enemys with a few Cacodemons, Hell Knights and Revenants. The blue key seemed tough to find at first, but once you have it, the level is simple to finish. It was okay, only play if you got nothing better to do. 3/5.-Candle M

DOOM.EXE and DOOM2.WAD are what I used to play this map. (Why did someone think Plutonia was needed?) This is indeed a small map, but it is very nicely done. I'm a bit envious of the author's good sense of composition and consistency. This map looks like it could have come right out from one of the original DOOM episodes. The level of challenge is medium to low. There's plenty more ammo, so most players can expect to make it through alive. Expect some unpleasant surprises though!

That was a fun 7 minutes. Only found 1 secret at the beginning, but still, proper health balance kept me on my toes. I like the lack of super shotgun, would've made it too easy.

mmm a really beautiful vanilla doom wad, fully works on doom2.exe v 1.9 using dosbox, nice e4 style, nice map, nice all. 4 stars from daimon 4+2=6

Unless Doom95 means Plutonia, the author failed to mention this is a map for Plutonia. Other than it being a fairly small and not too difficult wad, it's not a bad attempt. Worked fine with GZDoom v1.2.0. 4/5

This is dated March 2009. It's good fun; a kind of hellish crate warehouse techbase with 128 mostly weak monsters. It's not at all hard, but it flows well. The map basically looks, plays, and feels like a good but easy level from 1996, a mish-mash of E2 and E3 elements with a few Doom II monsters. The toughest baddies are a handful of cacodemons, hell knights, and a revenant at the end; the rest are mostly former humans and imps.

      I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular.       A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

      Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

      I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
