Thank you for downloading JtRLimbo 2. Now that you're maybe reading this,
I must tell you some kind things about this map.
PLAYING GUIDELINES
==================
First of all, you'll need ZDoom 2.3.1, because it uses UDMF for the maps.
Yes, sounds bad that UDMF thing, but it's easier for me to use. You can't
run this with older versions of ZDoom or other source ports.
Also, the difficulty settings are distributed into 3 groups:
Easy: I'm too Young to Die
Bring it On
(Few monsters)
Medium: Hurt Me Plenty
(Still much monsters)
Hard: Ultra-Violence
Nightmare!
(Lots of monsters)
NEW MONSTERS
============
Nami's Dark Imp: It's the Nami's version of the Dark Imp. Throws seeking fireballs,
and has a bit more HP than an Imp. 'Nuff said.
Catharsi: This little fella will shoot fireballs in an angle range and when he
dies, be careful, because he drops a small detonated bomb.
Hellion: He came to scorch you up. A vile-like small creature that throws
fireballs. Not a real challenge, it's still easy.
Satyr: No, he doesn't come for playing the flute or telling about Greek
Mythology. He'll tear you to shreds if you don't go with care.
HammerHound: Now, we get a little bit harder this time. This boss seems to crush,
smash, throw rocks and other things. You'll find him at the library.
To defeat him without being hurt at least, just play Hide-n-Seek with
him, otherwise, you'll be Marine Puree.
???: The admin of the website. Kept by insanity, he awaits you at the Throne
Room, with some ass-kicking powers. Will you survive to see him?
STORY
=====
JtRLimbo.tk3.net, 2008:
This website is left behind by it's administrator, after not recieving any visits.
Soon, the webpage would be totally desert, with no one around.
2009:
The first troll comes to the website, alongside with others and spambots,
destroying the website. There are still a few signals of the admin, but
no one knows where they come from. The website is nothing but ruins.
2010:
You are a soldier of the webhosting forces. Your command is to
"clean up and destroy the website". There are still a few signals
of survival from the admin, but from an unknown source.
ZONES
=====
The Chapel of Evil: A long-forgotten hermit chapel, where cult followers come to pray
their forgotten gods. It has the switch that opens the Front Gate
of the Citadel, just for security reasons.
Inspiration: Ultimate Torment & Torture
Things to keep clear: The texture of the painting is Chronos, eating
his children, as he knew they needed to kill him. Thanks Eriance
for this note.
The Citadel: The website itself, the main zone. It's ruined by the upcoming of
the trolls and spambots, but there's still a few inhabitants, known
as lurkers.
Inspiration: jtrlimbo.wad from Arcades3d
Things to keep clear: The statue of the Reaper was a texture from Deus
Vult 2 before, transformed into a sprite. Also, see if you can
find Zippy.
The Hell's Tavern: A place where Hell Nobles come to drown their sorrows. A small tavern
that keeps for some reason the key to the Library of Sin, by order
of the admin.
Inspiration: Medieval Taverns, kinda.
Things to keep clear: There's not much to say, there's a kitchen with a
blood patch got from Deus Vult II.
The Library of Sin: An epicenter for the knowledge of the most evil souls ever seen on
Hell. Destroyed, however, by the ages. To get the key to the Mausoleum,
you must go through it's defenses, and the Hammerhound.
Inspiration: Deus Vult II, Ultimate Torment & Torture.
Things to keep clear: The Disney characters in the portraits
are the villains from the Nostalgia Critic's Top 11 Disney
Animated Film Villains. But Gaston is missing there because
I forgot his name (d'oh!). It's easy to play hide-n-seek with
the Hammerhound. There are lots of walls in here.
The Heretic's Mausoleum:The Heretics rest their bones in peace here. It keeps the last key,
which the keys all open the Throne Room. But the Crypt Guardians
keep the key. Be careful!
Inspiration: Maybe The City of the Damned 2: Apocalypse. Or something
like that.
Things to keep clear: I advise you that the mausoleum will be extremely
dark.
The Throne Room: Just prepare for action and beware of... anything.
Inspiration: jtrlimbo.wad
Things to keep clear: Get ready for something big! :)
