Quite good. Much better than its earlier version or TOLM1. -MegaDoomer, playtester

The atmosphere thing w/ this wad is good, but GZdoom is required or the 3D floors won't even appear. I like the novelty of the female corpses/slaves, but there is lizard women yiffing going on here! AH!!!! Unreal aint something I want to toter around with. There's too much wonder-the-stars music like it's some sci-fi deviance going on. If this wad sticks more to the archaelogy/ancient theme (e.g. TombRaider/etc), I would probably rate a bit higher. Sorry, I feel that lmtemple.zip is much better.~3/5

Great wad! Unreal comes to mind when I play this mapset. Dynamic lights are beautifull, the monster set is what you want to see there. But when I can take the first part? I don't see it on idgames (( Shadowman. 5/5

Well, it's quite an amateur mod, with dodgy recolours, inconsistent rips, and basic ugly level design. The audio logs and story were also quite silly, but despite all this it was quite fun to play. 3/5

Better than the first part. Minotaur is brillant. The only problem is that is short, but not as much as the first part. Sprites can be better too. 5/5

A pretty solid set, with I have the latest version of GZDoom but on Map04 when I try to load a save game it crashes. This needs to be fixed as it's annoying. I'll have to knock it down to 3/5. It needs to be cleaned up. The graphics are also a bit glitchy and the gameplay very linear. 3/5

Didn't try the previous one, but this is surely very atmospheric. The setting is intriguing and the scenery is beautiful. 5* --rsl

AWESOME! This wad is damn good, awesome feeling and gameplay. The maps layout isn't very good by its linear style but I think it's not bad. 5/5 -playerlin (BTW, T-Rex man really kicked my ass...:( )

Much better in quality than the first part. I really enjoyed TotLM 2 from start to finish. I played it in one sitting because I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! This is easily one of the most entertaining Doom WADs I've played in a while. 4.5/5

^Use GZDoom 1.4.8, that's what I tested it with and there's no savegame bug. (5^)The Hell Revealed difficulty glitch is currently being worked on.

This wad is awesome. I had a great time playing it so thanks a lot for the enjoyment. This is quite an achievement. I hope you make Temple 3 or make an updated version of 2 and release it as a special edition or something. It was really good (4/5) but could use a bit of tweaking and tuning :]

While there are positive aspects to this wad - the the lizardmen themselves, the music, and the great shotgun - it's ultimately a project that is too ambitious relative to the skill of its maker. There are some interesting ZDoom features, but the core mapping is very mundane. The idea is reasonable, but the execution isn't up to scratch.

This is far better than the first one, and it still reminds me of Turok. The only thing I thought was off was the fact that most of the dead bodies are of zombiemen, even though you were sent to the island to find marines. 5/5 ~Joe Anderson

Great WAD. However, Hell Revealed difficulty doesn't work: lizardmen are unable to move most of the time. (Tried in gzdoom 1.4.2, which according to the textfile should work.)

A good mapset, but the gibs from the lizardmen don't behave very well when they land in water, and this is a MAJOR problem since most of the maps have water in them.

Pretty nice. Good atmosphere, solid gameplay and inventive use of GZDoom effects. Only downside is that the dialog is a little awkward at times, some of the custom enemies look out of place, and after the dungeon level I had a feeling I'd find a lizard(wo)man version of Impse in the data files. Which would normally be fine if not for the fact that I actually did find a lizardwoman version of Impse in the data files. 4/5

Great work! Minor annoyances like many of the messages appear for a way too short of a time to read. Great work with the custom weaponry, monsters, music and graphics. The ending is a bit disappointing (wont spoil it here), but you can't have it all. By far the best wad I've stumbled onto. Beautiful and personal atmosphere, story and gameplay. 4.5/5 - Herska

The graphics, the look and feel, the atmosphere and the gameplay all work nice but some sprites are a little basic and the map design is awfully linear.

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
