Too short.. and I don't see any bugs happens, maybe be because I'm using latest GZDooM SVN? Whatever. It's just OK and nothing wrong with it...just needed more details I guess. :P 3/5 -playerlin

Immediately crashes vanilla Doom, even though map isn't complicated or big. Runs okay in prboom. But not enough opposition to really provide a challenge. Might have been better with tactical placement of stronger monsters.

Not bad for a first effort, though would've benefited from being longer, giving the author more opportunity for variety in gameplay and environment. The architecture was decent (I liked your use of space in places), although rather crude; there were a number of unpegging issues, plus non-inset doors are usually kind of ugly. Nice decoration. 2/5 overall; keep mapping, this wasn't great but you have potential.

Really short and easy, even on UV. Seems to be the authors first map. For that, it's not bad.

Very short and buggy. Cant get past he blue door and a very bad HOM. The zombies in the hall were stuck together. 1/5 for the effort.

Saying that you have no bugs is very much a lie. This map is very short and easy and it has decent gameplay but is very buggy, such as clusters of zombies that don't move until they are shot or things like the doors glitching. 1/5. -dbsw57

Very short is almost an understatement, and it is very easy. I didn't see any errors though. Keep at it. I think you could make good maps. There is only one texture, so it's sorta bland. However, you did do well with decorations, I would say. I like how to spiced the blandness a bit with the grooves in the wall. Secrets kinda suck.

Nothing special - just a short green marble level with 2 very obvious secrets that you'll probably finish in under 2 minutes, even with 100% kills. On the other hand, there's nothign bad about it, either; it's just a little bland. To the author: keep at it, though! Remember that noone started out as a great mapper, and just keep on honing your skills. 2.5/5 - ZZ

Seems like your first map. It's not bad. Take care of the missaligned textures and doortracks that are not pegged. 3/5 - Optimus

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
