Description : A large and brutal phycotic map that verges on trolling. Be prepared to save and die a lot!
Description+ : Extorta Montra is a map developed for my
Standalone MegaWAD series. Basically, my goal for
these series of maps is challenge my mapping
skills further by taking on mission requests from
the doom community (or from me) so that I may
develop them further. The end result will
eventually be a 32-level MegaWAD set!
Originally, Extorta started off as Memfis scrap
which was initially posted on the NOVA community
map project. When I claimed the scrap, the intent
was to make a level for NOVA. But as time went on
and as fate would have it, Extorta outgrew the NOVA
project considerably by leaps and bounds. So,
with no where else to put it, I made a
Standalone challenge out of it!
The challenge became to make Extorta the finest doom2
map I will ever make. Its an audacious
undertaking I know. But at this point, I have
examined, played, and made enough wads in my
lifetime to know what makes a decent playable
wad.
So! By what measure is this fine? It is not a
record breaker of any sort. It is not
conventional or old school. No, what I mean by
'finest' is my style of mapping taken to the nth degree.
To date it is the largest, most
sophisticated, most detailed map I have ever
created. That I can attest. Others may judge
Extorta as they see fit, but I for one am happy
with the way things turned out in the end.
Additional Credits to : Thanks to Memfis for providing the base.
