About This File

This map originally started as an outlet for my flesh texture fetish: I always felt that the flesh textures were a bit underused in this day and age, so I decided to go a bit overboard. About partway through I decided to throw a DeHackEd patch in to spice things up: it doesn't change things too much, but keep on your toes. :-)

The map occupies the MAP01 slot and has an infested nukage compound theme. There's new textures, music, and of course the DeHackEd patch. Enjoy!

Oh, and Cadaveric Incubator of Endoparasites is the name of one of my favourite, songs, in case you were wondering. =D

This level is really interesting, ammo balance is good enough(just the beginning part would be lack of ammo if not careful) but lack of health kits would be problem in UV, atmosphere just nice, weird unaligned textures and confusing switches hunt just a little ruined this level but overall I found it still plays well and fun. 4/5 -playerlin

Very nice map design, and good usage of lighting. Monster placement was very good, and for once, in a long time, Revenants actually became a real challenge. Overall, the music fit, the atmosphere was great, challenge was fair on UV, and the inclusion of a Heresy Lord instantly gains my vote for an awesome map. Also, nice inclusion from being able to gib corpses! 5/5 - K12machinima

I saw the monster count of 68 and laughed. Then got my ass handed to me. This level is a real genital grinder. 5!

bonus points for the carcass reference and the flesh theme, but the ammo / weapon balance as well as the convoluted, if not downright bad layout of important areas + some hard to figure out triggers (as well as some rather random misaligned textures) make this more of a chore for me. couldn't finish it without idclip.

      I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

      A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

      Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

      I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
