About This File

Small temple-like map for Doom 2. A new sky with red clouds, gray stone, green marble, red carpets and bricks. A lot of outdoor views. Made for the original game. Maybe a little hard: be cautious.

Great level it's really great, and the midi reminds me if the starting or a level from Wolfenstein 3D. The difficulty level is balanced really well not hard not easy and some sectors are full of surprises. Looks like that there are added some secrets to the level but I found only 50% of them. So yeah the level is great it's only one map and it's pretty good I recommend it for the people that haven't played it to play it!

Just great, I don't have any thing to say or complain, play this and you'll love it for sure.

The music is fine for me but maybe it doesn't really fit DooM, still I don't think it's abomination or something that BAD.

5/5.

The map is great, but the music is an abomination. I recommend stopmus.

Nice 2 tricks @ the end, U ass. Anyways, this map == cool. It was a bit hard, but it's Doom, so it'== cool. Navigation is EZ + secrets aren't so hard, but it'== cool, lol. I dunno about a temple, but I like the ramp ambush (takes a while) + library gunfights (teeth gritting). Custom sky image == cool. @ 1st, I thought ur name rel8s 2 liberation of yarnia roguelike, but not, lol. ~5/5

It's by Eye del Cul so it rocks by default. Nice idea with horizon that extends to the sky, cool and unusual visual theme with some neat architecture, fun and challenging but not overwhelming gameplay. 5 stars, always nice to see new wads from this author.

Bien hecho! No te contaba por aqui :) Eso si, la iluminación se me antoja bastante clara, aunque bueno, siempre me han gustado los mapas oscuros.

I genuinely enjoyed this mod with its level design and music. It was challenging and interesting and it kept me playing a while after beating it to try to find anything. though I would say it was slightly repetitive and overwhelming with enemies at some moments.

Writing a review for Darkening 2 is tough. It's a beloved megawad, and for good reason. As many other reviewers have said, it is historically a very important project.   It was an important megawad for me personally. I fell in love with the first level in particular. The music, the realistic architecture, so reminiscent of the video games of the 90s... It all left a lasting impression. And it was one of the most beautiful wads I've seen at the time.   But I rarely played anyt

A competently made map, for sure, but fun? It's way too long and repetitive, with same-y combat & ambush scenarios used again and again, and with way too much enemies, and not that much of a challenge, even for me who isn't exactly fond of "SUPER HARD WAD #9263!!!!11!. You can cut the whole thing in half, and then cut THAT half in half, and it would be a better map. Is it bad? No, just a little bit above average, mostly because it drags a bit too long.

Generally good map design, but the difficulty as is the case with pwads tends to be uneven even on HMP, especially when you mix them with what slaughtermaps tend to be (monster spam). Too many parts where, after pressing a switch, you'll spend some time killing enemies only to realise the map maker tried to get cute and spawned a bunch of hidden archviles somewhere to start reviving everyone while you were busy wasting ammo. This is especially unfun in parts with very little cover where you'll b

I like the part where I pay for the numerous murders I committed by getting beaten up by either a Mancubus or an Arachnotron, it changed my outlook on Monster Priority. Thank you "Problematic" Revenant #7, I have yet to find a way to repay him.
