- What is DOOMEDt? -------------------------------------------------------
DOOMEDt is a DOOM save file editor. It edits save files from DOOM and
DOOM II releases 1.2, 1.4, 1.5, 1.666, 1.7, 1.7a, 1.8 and 1.9. It
also edits NetDOOM save games, but files must be edited on each node
separately. The current DOOMEDt version is 1.9.
- What files are there? --------------------------------------------------
DOOMED .EXE - Save file editor.

DOOMEDT .ZIP - Archive of the above two files.
- What can be changed with DOOMEDt? --------------------------------------
All weapons, ammo, bonuses, keys, GOD, and CLIPPING modes are
accessible.
The maximum I have allowed for ammo is 999,999. Only the last 3
digits are visible in the game. The save game description and SKILL
level can also be edited.
Do note, when you change the health or armour levels it does not set
in place immediately. When you return to the save game, you have to
pick up a heath (blue bottle) or armmour bonus, or a soul sphere
(blue sphere) or a meagsphere (white sphere in DOOM 2) to lock the
changed health or armour into the new setting.
NETDOOM save file must be edited on each computer that the game was
played on. Changes (except the description) made to any save file,
must be made to all of them, otherwise the saved game may not work.
- What's so good about DOOMEDt? ------------------------------------------
* Its and easy to use program.
* There is a general "MAX OUT" key. In any given area like
ammunitions store, just hit "+", and its all Maxed to 1 million for
each. Or similarly by holding down Alt before pressing the
appropriate number, a particular item can be Maxed out.
* Mouse support for mouse orinted users. Maxing can also be
accomplished by clicking on the MAXOUT label, or on the according
item numbers.
* DOOMEDt is the first to allow full editing of DOOM 2 v1.666 and v1.7
save files.

- Where can I find DOOMEDt? ----------------------------------------------
This program can only be used for DOOM save files and nothing else, so
you should find it in any FTP or BBS site with DOOM.
- What was DOOMEDt written in? -------------------------------------------
Unfortunately I started writing the original code for reading save
file information in BASIC, so I had to continue writing it in basic.
With v1.5+ I had to use Quick BASIC, to allow the application of
interrupts for mouse support.
I have started programming in C, but have no intention of re-coding
DOOMEDt into C.
