Known Bugs : Ceiling texture sometimes covers the whole screen for a sec.,
when crossing sectors connected to the "main"-ceiling.
Some Hall-of-mirrors may appear when viewing a lot of two-
sided linedefs (Known Doom-engine bug).

INSTALLTION
===========
To install the citywar pwad it is very important
to follow these instructions:
1. make the directory c_w under your doom(I)-directory
(eg: c:\doom\c_w)
2. Copy the cw.zip file to newly created c_w directory
3. use pkunzip: pkunzip -d cw.zip
(Important to use -d parameter to keep the directory structure)
4. Done, start with the batch-file citywar.bat

TROUBLESHOOTING
===============
You could run into Out of enviroment when running
citywar.bat, if you have a lot of path's and set's.
The soultion is to "add"/ increase the enviroment space
Add/modify the followinf line into/in config.sys:
SHELL=C:\DOS\COMMAND.COM C:\DOS\ /E:1024 /p

Informal description
=======================
Introduction:
=============
In a future not so far away, the world economy have collapsed.
The world is ruled by syndicates, and no governments exist.
The syndicates are wealthy and protects itself from the mutants in
nearby areas. Human civilisation is concentrated to the cities,
often heavily fortified.
The target city, "Quake 4.04a", has two social hierarchies;
The wealthy and the other.
The wealthy lives in the skyscrapers downtown,
and the other in the sleazier parts of town.
The social structure is so strict, that the city itself is divided into
two parts. The only way to travel between them, is through a heavily
protected gate.
Mission:

[Mission: Find & Obtain, time:03:43 AM Binaryday 10110110101011011010]
Enforcer(s) of Screaming Fist, your mission is to search & obtain the newly
developed time-warper-device from another syndicate in Quake 4.04a.
You must obtain three keys, to reach the time-warp-device. In order to do
this, you must use three firewalls connected to the time-warp-device,
through an AI.
The AI prohibits any hardware-connect to the actual time-warp-device,
the AI warps anyone who enters the gateway, to a time of it's own pleasure.
Trough classified information our syndicate knows that the AI's programmer,
created a backdoor. The backdoor can penetrate the AI's firewalls.
Three different time-warps is necessary.
On hardware-connect you will picked by our Zero-G-choppers.
Good luck.
Primary objective: a. Get blue-print of time-warp-device
through a hardware-connect.
Await pickup.

About the features
==================
I had great fun creating this, my first pwad.
Indeed I had so fun, I made this pwad too large for my CPU. (386/with FPU).
Therefore I strongly recommend this pwad only for 486+ users.
Sure you can use this pwad in a minimized action-window on a 386.
This pwad features:
* A carefully designed pwad mainly for deatmatch, but ok for singleplay.
* Trench War during WW I.
* Rescue mission of POW camp during WW II.
* A Kafka-like cyberdream.
* Bar-districts in the dark city.
* A handball arena. (Yes, I aware of that only Europeans know of this game)
* A realistic model of my home, with typical objects of each room.
You could even discover where this pwad was made.
* A lmp, that shows the solution,
and that it's possible to beat the difficulty level 5.
* New cool sounds
* New cool graphics, and that I know you'll agree on !!

Technical/design aspects
========================
This pwad was mainly made for deathmatch. Therefore I tried to make sure
that you always have an escape route, avoiding being trapped.
I also changed the orginal pwad, when I discovered that you start with
all keys in deathmatch-mode. Instead of picking up a key during each
sub-mission, you must cross a certain line, which activates one of the
skull-doors.
I tried to automate this pwad with bat(ch)-files. I am usually very suspious
of other's "full-proof" bat(ch)-files. But I have really tried to anticipate
every possible alternative. You should be able o run these bat-files, without
trouble.
The two add-on textures could be removed, if you edit this pwad with an
wad-editor.
Heavy weapons and tough monsters are spare. Since this pwad is made for
deathmatch you should not be killed by a monster or get wasted by a opponent
in single attack/shot. Levels 1-3 are easy, but 4+ are quite hard.
