Description : This WAD is based on the floor layout of my local
Quasar, (called laser quest). I made a wad for
Doom 1 ages ago (my first DM wad) and this is an
updated Doom 2 version. This one has a couple of
surprises - two hidden foot switches which make the
whole level change state. (see the hints section,
below) It can be played with or without monsters.
(best with monsters, personally) High frag counts,
quick kills.
Instructions : When the game starts, you will be in a dark tunnel,
this is the "entrance tunnel" where you collect your
weapon, by running forward. You will then teleport
into the main level. To start with you will be
surrounded by barrels - you can't avoid dying, but
it wakes up the monsters, who start teleporting in
later on. You may even get some telefrags!
The switch is the exit.
(If there are 3+ players, its recommended that you
use "dm" rather than "alt")
Hints: : There are two footswitches. There is an easy one
and a difficult one. To activate the easy one, try
running off some ledges. (drops without steps) To
activate the hard one, do a running jump off the
smallest platform. OK, so they're not hints, they're
nearly spoilers.
