Title : AFRO2.WAD
Author : (ID)ries "Afroman" Hamadi
Email Address : idries@pncl.co.uk
Description : Based on my first proper WAD (AFRO.WAD) this DOOM ][
WAD is pretty hard (I think). It's still pretty
small but I think that it's challenging enough.
==============================================================================
Level # : MAP01
Single Player : Yes
Cooperative 2-4 Player : Yes (tested only on 2 player serial).
Deathmatch 2-4 Player : Yes (tested only on 2 player serial).
Difficulty Settings : Yes (they're now more obvious than on AFRO.WAD)
New Sounds : No
New Graphics : Not yet (see below)
Demo's Replaced : Try AFRO2.LMP
* Construction *
Base : AFRO.WAD
Build Time : Not, sure really. AFRO.WAD took me about a week, I
had the first DOOM ][ test version ready about 2
days after that. I started to test it, then I got
wrapped up in my next WAD for about 2 weeks. I
finished it off this weeked.
Editor(s) used : Doomcad v5.0 and v6.0 by Matt Tagliaferri
Known Bugs : None. If you find one (or more) plese write and
tell me. There was a finny line def thing in the
first room, but I think that that was DOOM CAD
(sorry Matt). I've fixed it, but tell me if
you see it again. Also, there were no respawn
points on AFRO.WAD, this has been fixed.
Additional Notes : This level has been created with single play in mind
(boring), although I have tried to make Deathmatch
and Co-op as exciting as possible, I wouldn't recomend
trying it.
AFRO.WAD was only sent to a couple of local BBS's
for me to get some feedback. I had none, as OOH! BBS
never actually recieved the file that I sent &8-(
so this file is going onto the Internet. This will
eventually be part of a multi level WAD (DOOM ][
MAP01 to MAP10, mabye further). Also, I plan to use
This level as a base for a Heretic Deathmatch level
(as I don't want to start my first Heretic level
from scratch). Finally, the multi WAD may contain
some new textures.
Update: : I'm busy with my web page(s) at the moment
(http://www.pncl.co.uk/~idries/index.html), so I don't
know when my WAD buliling career will continue. My
page has lots of WADs available, so take a look.
Aditional Credits/Thanks:
Matt (see above) for writing Doomcad, and telling me about some
patch file to stop the subscript out of range thing for v4.3.
Those ID guys (for their obvious contribution).
My mouse, for not jamming up!
Manjeet Bawa, for trying it out, and for telling me how to make
triggered doors.
Tested by:
Myself.

* Legal stuff *
I don't care, as long as you tell me, and you write my name in the
credits bit! I don't see many people using bits of my level for other levels
anyway. But if you do, PLEASE don't try to pass it off as you own stuff. That
would PISS ME OFF.
Also, I have heard that there's another AFRO.WAD flying around, if
you're the author, or you know who is, then write to me, I have been the
AFROMAN for a long time now, and I'd like it to be the name of my first WAD,
I don't think that there's any legal problem with that.
