Level(s) Info
Map01 info : This level designed for excellent, weapon
"Hide-n-Seek" selectable deathmatch play & sized right too.
Deathmatch at skill level 2 designed
for shotguns & chainguns only.
Deathmatch at level 3+ has usual assortment of weapons.
Use -nomonsters switch, for pure deathmatch.
Lots of 2-way walls, etc for ambushes.
Timed sectors release surprises.
(Better finish in <5 min. unless you
like fighting the Arch-Vile..;)
Revisions 1/96: Blue key platform stays lowered.
(Prev. would lower, then raise) for slower players/PCs.
Yellow key moved for easier access.
Level 1 music changed, NOW AWESOME!
Map02 info : One of the best deathmatch levels around,
"Bad Nite Out" inside/outside, w/lighting effects, Superb!
It's deathmatch sized, no keys reqd, but lots
of switches for moving sectors (w/items), etc.
Switches thrown in one area, make weapons avail
in another, so it's a great equilizer.
Skill 4/5 has Icon thrower w/monster teleports
and is probably the only reason to play co-op,
(Very tough going it alone here).
Lighting level in main outside sector dimmed
in this version to add some "surprise" elements.
Hint: Teleports have 4 sides.
Map 03 info : The largest of the three levels, custom crushers,
"The Crush" secret rooms & lots of weapons. Hidden sectors with
monster-only teleports to keep areas "populated".
Many deathmatch starts, and surprises.
Includes Scrolling Plug for my Punisher Web Site
Hint: Some areas will require several visits
to complete the level. Watch your step
for directions.
Special care was taken to allocate weapons, monsters.
for each skill level. Especially Map 1.
Map 3 crusher may run slowly on slower machines
(only when you're viewing the crusher in action,
with a good video card (S64,S2001,etc...) it's
way cool..)
Comments/Suggestions appreciated.
Description: OK, OK here's the story for ya...
Sgt. Meserve has just been released from
serving his sentence of 10yrs hard labor.
He may have paid his debt to society, but
he hasn't wiped The Punisher's slate clean.
He's about to step into another dimension;
and this time he won't be in control.
He'll be at the mercy of endless cherries
and FNG's, walking into ambushes and death
only means starting over. Welcome SGT Meserve,
to the Tour of Duty that never ends -
the PATROL INTO HELL...
Additional Credits to : Play testers: Landru, Tim Huffman (Mr.Bimmer)
and The Stars-n-Bars bunch. Landru for the music (Map01)
(& patience w/my changes to it). Phil Pesano for
the "haloween" music from his wad of the same name.
Id (of course), Ben Morris for DCK, DMaud,
NWT & RMB authors. Columbia Pictures for
the movie sounds.
Marvel Comics for The Punisher attitude.
