Whew, I'm glad your actually reading this. Don't worry, I'll keep it short.
Ultra Doom is my redition on Doom 1.666. Yea, I know, most people have 1.9,
but I REALLY don't want to rewrite everything! I have heard that 1.9 makes
most Doors unopenable...but I could be wrong. Unless you have been living in
a cave for the last 2 years, you probely have gotten an earler version and
upgraded to 1.9. So just reload your Doom files. Don't worry, it's worth it.
Trust me. *******Oh- you need the dehacked.exe and dehacked.ini that I have
included. Back up your old version, and put the one I have included in you
directory. In fact all the files MUST be in your DOOM directory to work
properly.*****
These levels are for all those just looking to squeze more life outa the old
Doom. Level 5 is soo perfect for deathmatch, along with the first boss stage
level 7. 5 is a humongous overwhelming forest-if you can set up a four player
BBS game, MAN you could have fun looming and stalking around in the pitch
black shadows. 8 is kinda like a barracks-well, it is, actually. Theres
plenty of little walls all around to hide behind, and a large structure in
the middle, and a wall around the entire place.
Single Player is fun as well. My personal favorite is level 2. 2 takes you
into a demon-literally. You start in its mouth and get swallowed, travel
through its stomach and intestines, and make it out through the large
intestine. Level 4 is traditional Doom style (I had to have one, for good
measure) but it has plenty of perks. Invincible Demon walls that shoot
out Baron fireballs, an invisible maze (you can see the entire room, but
you can't walk through it-only some walls are passthrough), and plenty of
traps. Theres plenty of other levels too-a mine shaft with a tough secret,
a sewer system (starting with a toliet! <g> ), and a killer boss stage with
multiple spiders, barons, and other monsters ( it's possable!..;) ) Anyway,
this is worth it, even if you are sick of Doom. After creating these levels,
-I- was sick of Doom! However, it's still fun to play the forest deathmatch,
or trek through the innards of the beast. Hope you enjoy it!
I hopefully will be making Ultra Doom for Quake, perhaps calling it
something different. But just thought I'd finaly upload the end all Doom
levels.
Here is my old descriptor with a few modifications:

Notes: Levels-
E1M1: Decisions- careful which route you take: a quick save before
entering any teleport is recommended. Also: the "light switch" acts
as a teleport in deathmatch mode.
E1M2: Food for Thought- a race through a demons intestinal track!
Be careful and look for secrets.
E1M3: Down the tubes- A long passageway through some pipes. Running
through this one is recommended.
E1M4: Research lab- A good old fashion id-style level. I figured I should
make at least one of these. Watch out for the Baron wall, and keep trying
to make that invisible maze.
E1M5: Forest of Evil- A DARK level. Try it a few times first. If you
get frustrated, PLEASE don't use iddt. Idbeholda will do much better.
E1M6: Mines- A short and to the point level. You don't have to fight that
Cyberdemon, there is a way around the back of him...
E1M7: Barracks- A deathmatch intended level turned boss stage. When I
got board of large levels I decided to make theme levels. This one
involves running and screaming.
E1M8: Psycophysics[a word I found in the dict. :)]- a hard but beatable
last boss stage. Not many places to hide, so watch out!!!
E1M9: Bliss[secret]- A VERY HAPPY board. Because I didn't have enough
time, after finding it you are pushed back to Stage 4. The secret is
not in stage three, but Doom thinks otherwise. Just a downside to
getting 20 of every item in the game. Makes an -interesting- deathmatch.
These levels are MUCH more fun without codes. If you must cheat, don't use
the tried and true IDKFA. Instead, use IDFA. You won't get the keys this
way, so the level can proceed as usual.

You can get a MUCH better description at
http://ring.com/Blackwnd/ultradm/ultra.htm. It describes in detail how to
install it, and so forth. Speaking of which you cant just load the wad
with -file, you must run the installation bat first, and then run ultra.bat
to run the game. The reason for this is Deusf program which adds Dooms
textures to my wad, to make it playable. It wont load without this. AND
dehacked, which makes a special exe names ultraexe.exe. You need to run this
to play Ultra Doom properly, but this is all in the batch file after
installation, so don't worry. Hope this all works out, contact me at
Ged@lakes.ring.com for more info.
P.S. This REQUIRES!!! Doom 1.666. If you have dehacked for a higher version,
please send it to me so I can make it usable on higher versions. Also,
you could just send me the patched ultraexe.exe for 1.9. I would greatly
appreshiate it.
That wasn't exactly short, now was it?
