Authors may use this level as a base to build additional levels. Please
credit the original edit program editors - they made great editors, and as
stated in their author texts, were gracious enough to allow others (me!) to
use them as a base.
You MAY distribute this WAD, provided you include this file with no
modifications. You may distribute this file in any electronic format
(BBS, Diskette, CD, etc) as long as you include these files intact, and it
would be nice to receive a copy of the Disk/CD. I think that's only fair. I
like CD's! Send it to the address below. Thank You!

Comments :
I really fell in love with DooM and DooM II, and when Heretic came out,
I bought that, too. But I was really disappointed in the Heretic graphics
(weapons) - I don't really like sword & sorcery. So I determined to port the
Doom weapons graphics to Heretic. When I read about the Marines playing DooM
in PC Gamer (plug), I had a friend download MARINE1.WAD for me, and started
playing around with the sprites. I used NWT, but for some reason (me?) I
couldn't get NWT to store a complete weapons sprite without giving a
"shareware version detected" error message & dos dump-out. (But Heretic
accepted it & played it). So I used NWT for importing & exporting and
offsets, mostly - and viewing. Then I went to DeuTex for WAD formation. Then
I went to DeuSF and appended everything to the IWAD, and finally got it all
to run. It's kind of a Rube Goldberg way to make a DHE/Sprites/Sounds PWAD,
but if it works, hey, why not? I really wish Olivier Montanuy would revive
DeuTex and not WinTex - I really like the dos command line over Windows.
