Title : Corridors from Hell
Filename : CORRIDOR.WAD
Author : Michael E. Toliver
Email Address : miketol@mtco.com
Misc. Author Info : Marine combat vet from Vietnam. Holder of 14 DHT titles. This is my first WAD
Description : You transport into a small, narrow room with no obvious exit. Ahh, in front of you are
shells and a shotgun - looks like you'll have a fighting chance as you try to complete your mission: ridding
the underground corridor complex beneath UAC headquarters of the ogres from Hell. Good Luck, Marine!
The textures are real basic, and the map is very simple. I don't like a lot of distractions - this is just a "if you
ain't shootin', you ain't playin'" level. Even on Ultraviolence, you should be able to complete this level in
under 15 minutes. You need all three keys to exit, and if you do this level on Ultraviolence you will meet
significant opposition. Unless you can't figure this one out (a couple of secrets are pretty well hidden), don't
watch the demos - they give everything away. If you do watch the demos, demo 1 is the level on "I'm Too
Young To Die" (a little over 4 minutes), demo 2 is the level on "Hurt Me Plenty" (about 7 minutes), and
demo 3 is the level on "Ultraviolence" (about 10 minutes). If you're new to DooM (hard to imagine at this
late date), just type "doom -file corridor.wad" and wait after the opening screen comes up. The demos will
start after a few seconds.
Additional Credits to : Dave Ryding, who play-tested this WAD and jazzed up the final version by adding
just a couple of monsters. He also exposed me to DooM in the first place. ID software, all the folks
responsible for WADED, DEU, BSP, REJECT, etc. Also Frank Stajano for the DHT concept - competing
for DHT made me a MUCH better player. Check it out - basic info on ftp.cdrom.com
